Very nicely renovated motor lodge in a lovely spot. It's close to many activities, dog friendly, and even has a cafe located right at the front of the property. We'll definitely be back!
The property was just as listed; quaint, quiet, and cozy! One of the best features is that there is a bakery at the front of the property with delicious treats. The property is located outside of town, so it is very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.

Hi Carlos,
I appreciate your review. I hope your return to the city life is treating you well.
This was our first time visiting this part of the state! Our little home away from home was very clean and cozy. The location is perfect! The property manager is very helpful and friendly. Everything was very chill and laid back. Definitely will be staying here again!!

Hi Jamie, it was great having you here!
Hope to see you again.
This place was perfect for me and my pup on our getaway weekend. Close to Saugatuck but much more affordable than staying in town. Terry was easy to communicate with and provided helpful info on places to go in town. The huge yard was great for my pup to do his zoomies and the stars were amazing! My pup and I take an annual solo trip and it's hard to find pet friendly lodging with all the comfort we prefer and this place was perfect. We'd definitely stay again when we're back in town!
It has older feel but everything was as shown in the pictures. I got what I expected. Well worth the money. Will stay again. It’s better then a hotel for long stays

Hi Steven,
The building is from the 50's and the first remodel was in the 80's. It has the same look on the outside, however, under my ownership many upgrades to the interior.
It was clean, fixed up nice!Only thing , there was a funky smell, maybe from the humidifier/air cleaner?.So we picked up an air freshener. We loved the area.Mother /daughter weekend
It was quiet!Nice setting & loved the bakery/gift shop in front.
Great breakfast sandwich!
We sat by the fire pit, with a nice couple from Ohio & got to view the Aurora Borealis!
Spectacular !
I would stay again—- away from the crowds!
Very spacious, clean, and accommodating. A park that connects to Lake Michigan is less than 10 minutes away. Comfy chair on the porch you can sit and relax. We wanted to hang out downtown saugatuck with our dog, so we were able to bring her. They shoud call it Sauga-pup since they are so dog friendly. :)🐶
I stayed here for a total of 3 nights and the first thing I noticed was how clean the apartment was. It was spotless and had all of the amenities I could’ve needed. Terry did a great job with the renovations to this historic hotel and he was so easy to communicate with. I felt very comfortable and safe there as a solo traveler with my dog Dottie and it was just a short drive to Holland, Saugatuck and Douglas. You can see a ton of stars at night and it’s super quiet! While I didn’t get a chance to try the bakery at the front of the property, it looked delicious 😋 Would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you like historic places that have been updated.
My husband and I and our small dog just stayed here for 2 nights. It was super quiet, clean, and comfortable. Much better than staying in a cookie cutter cramped hotel room! The unit felt like home, and the kitchen was well equipped. It was nice to be able to eat breakfast in rather than having to get dressed to go out first thing. We appreciated the king sized bed, though a better mattress (it wasn't bad, just not great) and pillows would have been nice. I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5 because there were a bunch of flies in our unit when we got there, gross! Also, there wasn't a towel bar or even a hook in the bathroom, so no where to hang towels, and no shelf to put our stuff. If you are short and/or have mobility issues, it's a bit of a big step onto the porch to reach your unit. A step would have been really helpful. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend!
PS: the owner was very responsive to my questions.
