We had a lovely stay at this quaint little cabin. It was very pet friendly and we could easily walk to the trails and beaches nearby. We found check in quite easy and everything was very clean.
we had a fabulous time in this fabulous place! The cottage had everything we needed, it was close to everything, and was clean and comfortable. we would love to come back!
Loved this property for our three night stay in late August, 2023. Everything is as pictured and all was clean and comfortable for three adults. Good single car parking in front and close to everything there is to do in Ucluelet, Tofino and in between. Would stay here again without hesitation and highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay. What a cute place. Only issues we had were the beds were all extremely hard and uncomfortable to sleep on, and the pillows in the master were also too firm to sleep with comfortably so none of us slept well. The layout was great and we did really enjoy our stay overall and the property was well kept and very clean. Thank you!
Really cute cottage very close to town. Had everything we needed. The parking was a little confusing (the neighbor parked in what we think was the spot for this house), so maybe include a picture in the instructions in the future.
Loved the view !

Had a lovely stay with our children! This was a great little, cozy escape. The kids were endlessly entertained by the tide pool beaches nearby, rainforest walks, and aquarium. Used the kitchen to make a lot of our own food - no issues. Sleeping areas are upstairs with bathroom on the main floor - older and younger guests may struggle with this. The stairs were fine for us but creaky if you have light sleepers. Comfortable beds, great shower. Missed having a washer and dryer, but I used my blowdryer to deal with wet rain gear. Overall, a fun family adventure with a quaint and welcoming home base.

We can’t thank you enough for allowing us the space to spend together as a family. It was much needed and such a lovely time. We saw bald eagles and on more than one occasion sat out on the patio and heard a seal in the distance. What a beautiful space we could spend together and again we can’t thank you enough. Expect a reservation for us next time!!!
We knew it would be a wet weekend, and brought our monopoly game.
Absolutely no need to have. Games and books were there. Just one of the little touches that made our visit. We will be back to stay

Super peaceful and convenient to town. Parking was easy and we loved the covered deck areas. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was a bit lacking in supplies, no cooking oil, storage containers, tinfoil etc. A few more plates than the bare minimum would help between running the dishwasher. More hooks by the door and in the bathroom would be helpful. Also rock hard living room couch and shelves in the bathroom looked like they were falling off the wall. Overall was good for what we needed and the view of the lagoon was lovely.
Nice cabin, great that it’s your own space and not connected to any other properties. Little bit of a view through the trees off the back deck which was nice. Some issues with cleanliness - several dishes in cupboard were dirty, cobwebs and dust. We also wish the futon in the living room was more comfortable - hard to sit on to watch tv or read a book as you can feel all the springs. Other than that, check in was easy and it’s in a lovely location.

Thanks for your review and we’re happy to hear you enjoyed your stay overall. We will be following up on the couple items you mentioned to correct. Thanks for staying with us.
The property was beautiful. Unfortunately we had an outdoor wedding on the 13th so we had the rain also.
We found your living room sofa & chairs were very uncomfortable to sit on. Not much padding in them. Also it would have been nice to have a small stand, chair, or table in the bedroom. Even a suitcase stand to hold our belongings. Outside of that a pleasant stay.
In general the accommodation was pretty good. A ceiling fan would help as the heating was a bit uneven because of the loft style cabin. The heater in the bathroom was not adequate for the size of room. It was a cool day when we arrived which made these issues more apparent. Salt but no pepper provided. No bathroom amenities which are generally provided. Nothing major wrong with this place, but has the opportunity to be better
Welcome to Black Bear Cottage, a rustic retreat on a tidal inlet. Enjoy the charm of post-and-beam construction, blending simplicity and warmth in a central location.
