Do Me Good is one of the largest and most spacious houses on Cape Blas. It’s your perfect beach getaway to create unforgettable vacation memories with your family and friends.


With spectacular beaches and the St. Joe Bay both just a minute's walk from your front door, life at Do Me Good is as easy-going and enjoyable as it gets. Watch the sun lazily sink over the Gulf of Mexico from the large sundecks while you breathe in the salt air as you feel your worries drift away with the tide.


A spacious open floor plan welcomes you with a 16’ ceiling and a spectacular stone fireplace. A loft with a skylight overlooks the great room. This home is flooded with natural light from sunrise to sunset!


The spacious kitchen is large enough to accommodate several cooks pitching in to prepare family meals, which is easy to do with two ovens, two refrigerators (one on the sun porch) and loads of cabinet and counter space. There is plenty of seating in the dining area for everyone to eat together.


With 6 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths, this home is ideal for large family gatherings. It offers sleeping accommodations for up to 15, including two spacious king bedrooms with access to decks and views of the Gulf and St. Joe Bay. There is a third king room, a queen room with extra single, and two rooms with twin beds.


Off the great room is a large glass enclosed sun porch with wet bar, refrigerator, sink, and table and chairs for four. Curl up in one of two large papasan chairs to read a book or take a nap! Off the sun porch is a large open deck with a table for an outdoor meal, or enjoy sunbathing and drinking in the sunsets on the lounge furniture.


Entertainment options include free cable TV, high speed internet, Wi-Fi and long distance phone service. Stream your favorite movies to the TV. Most bedrooms have TVs.


The carport and drive accommodate six vehicles. Under the house is a grilling area, and an outside shower and half bath to wash off the sand after a day of fun on the beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our families have rented Do Me Good for decades. We love it like a second home. The main living area is open and convenient. The bedrooms are ample and bright. The kitchen is spacious with many burners and double ovens. The decks wrap around the house and provide places to sit in the sun or shade, out of the wind. Maintenance was responsive. Parking beneath with a bathroom and storage was handy. The only negatives were that the living room furniture is uncomfortable, there was no cable, and the bedroom sliding glass doors have no screens, so they cannot be open at night. We love Do Me Good, and hope to be back many more times!

Great house for a large group.

Eleven of us stayed in the house and had an amazing time. Living area is perfect for a big crowd. Short walk to the beach. The only downside was the small bedroom upstairs with two bunk beds was really hot. We ended up not using this room. A quick switch up sleeping arrangements and we were fine. Overall, we were very pleased.

The dishwasher was filthy and smelled of rotten shrimp upon our arrival. We pulled the filter and cleaned it, then cleaned the rest of the dishwasher. It was definitely not the way we expected to start our vacation. The oven under the stove didn't work. The control knob on the washing machine was stripped. Ants swarmed in the chimney, and we saw a few roaches upstairs.

The only disruption was all the vehicles on the beach. We even had someone blow their horn at our grandchildren who were tossing a football around. There was a constant flow of traffic on the beach which really disturbed our relaxing.

The size of the house accommodated a group of 15 very well.2. Dealing with Coastal Joes employees in the beginning was great. They communicated well.3. The location of the rental was great.4. Plenty of parking.5. The porches are wonderful!!Cons:1. The house could use a deep clean. The air vents were nasty, there was dust covering the tops of the cabinets and dead ants were found around the fireplace.2. Two bedrooms were missing remotes and that problem was not resolved until day 4 of our stay.3. The washing machine was not hooked up correctly and was not fixed until day 4 of our stay.4. The house was advertised with 2 ovens, which was one of the main reasons we chose it. Unfortunately only 1 worked and we were never told it was not functioning. It took an email and 3 phone calls to find out the problem. We were told they were waiting on a part to come in that case we should have been told before arrival so we could be prepared. This was a major disappointment and failure of communication. 5. The water pressure for bathing was poor. Not even enough to rinse soap out of hair. Many times we used the carport water hose to wash our hair. This problem was mentioned to management but never resolved. 6. Communication with management and getting answers after checking in was poor. Overall....for the money we spent, I was disappointed. We still had a great vacation but the multiple issues added frustration. I personally own and rent a small vacation home in PCB. As an owner, I would not let any renter have to deal with that many problems. I would drive 6 hours to handle the situation myself if I couldn’t get someone there quicker. I would do what I could to make it right.

We do have one suggestion for a house that size that 15 people stay for 5 days generates quite a bit of garbage. That house definitely needs 2 trash cans. On Sunday night before we left the bags were over the top and the lid would not close. During the night something got into the garbage and we had to pick up everything that had been scattered Monday morning before we could leave.

This home should have 2 trash cans. Unfortunately, the surrounding houses may not provide 2 so they decide to "borrow" a can from another home. We'll make sure it gets back to the proper place.

Family vacation at “Do Me Good”

Although we didn’t get into the house until 7p.m. due to no one calling us when housekeeping finished, we were very happy with our week at “Do Me Good”. We had a few minor maintenance issues, but they were taken care of promptly. The large kitchen/family room was awesome for our group of 10, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the layout was great. It was a short walk to the beautiful beach, but glad we took a cart to carry our beach necessities. I suggest Austalian Gold bronzer to keep bugs at bay. Nothing else seemed to work. I would definitely recommend this house for a quiet getaway. We had a wonderful time! Thank you so much.
