Welcome to an unforgettable stay at our extraordinary farm retreat! Need anything during your visit? Don't hesitate to reach out to 828-734-0411. We do not take calls after 8pm and will answer the next day.
Excited to explore? You're in for a treat! But first, a few important notes: Sorry, no pets allowed on the farm. We cherish our furry friends, but with all the wildlife around, it's best to keep them safe and sound. And let's keep the indoors fresh—no smoking inside, please! Feel free to enjoy your smoke responsibly on the porch, where ash trays await in the 'mud room' for your convenience. We do not accept reservations with checkin or checkout days on Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.
Ready to dive into the experience? Our historic farm, nestled in the heart of Haywood County, has a story as rich as its surroundings. From Scottish roots to American independence, the Boyd family's legacy spans centuries, and you're invited to be a part of it.
Expect the unexpected—our farm is alive with creatures big and small, from horses and cows to possums, raccoons, and more! Plus, catch glimpses of deer, bear, and even elk from Cataloochee Valley. It's a wild wonderland out here, where nature thrives and history whispers in every breeze.
Step inside our farmhouse, where every corner tells a tale. Antique treasures, collected from around the globe by Lt. Colonel Katie Boyd herself, adorn the space, alongside logs that have weathered over two centuries. It's a blend of Appalachian history and modern comfort—a true gem waiting to be discovered.
And the fun doesn't stop indoors! Relax on our expansive porch, play games with loved ones, or gather 'round the fire pit under the starlit sky. It's all about making memories that last a lifetime, surrounded by family, friends, and the warmth of tradition.
Ready for adventure? Explore the nearby wonders, from Maggie Valley to the Great Smoky Mountains Park. And when night falls, don't miss the magic of lightning bugs lighting up the summer sky—it's a sight to behold!
At our farm, you're not just a guest, you're family. Soak in the history, embrace the tranquility, and make yourself at home. Whether you're hiking the fields or simply sharing a smile with a neighbor, you're part of our 200-year-old legacy.
Join us for a stay like no other—a blend of past and present, comfort and adventure, all wrapped up in the embrace of our beloved farm. Book now and let the magic begin!
We can no longer put trash outside in trash bins because of the bears. Please put in laundry room and take to the dump when you have load located five minutes away on highway 276 directly across the road from the stop sign. Sunday the dump is closed. OK to leave in laundry room if checking out.
