Amazing spaces included in this private rental — the kitchenette and bedroom were in the caboose, an outdoors fire pit & seating area with ample wood and then the “station” with a wrap around porch with seating area, big screen tv and nature landscape surrounding you. The “station” also has a luxurious bathroom and shower.area. Extremely clean and host offered complimentary water, local beer, and snacks. So relaxing and great to come back to after exploring area or just to hang out at all day.
Great spot for a couple or a small family with a little kid (especially a train-obsessed toddler!). Fantastic location with easy access to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Pisgah Forest, Waynesville, and Asheville. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. Great rental!!
What an amazing property! We stayed at Station 451 for our 25th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. Private, CLEAN, cozy, and so much thought put into every detail of this unique, beautiful place. Can I just mention the waterfall right outside the front door? Oh my word... so peaceful. Brooke was so easy to communicate with and made our stay completely perfect! We didn't want to leave! We will most certainly be back. Book it! You won't regret it.
The caboose and adjoining bath house were fabulous! All the little extras made for such a fantastic stay. The hosts thought of so many things to make the stay exceptional. Umbrellas, lanterns, snacks, mini fridge, the waterfall, the heater on the porch, the fire pit, the grill, the bathrobes and so many other little touches. Very welcoming!
Very unique and fun home. Great jumping off location for the Cataloochee Valley in the Smoky Mountains NP. Very Clean and nicely equipped. In a private rural setting, but civilization (Waynesville) is only about 15 minutes away. This is a home where the owner pays a lot of attention to details, and it makes for a very enjoyable stay.
Great stay, perfect location for our trip. Authentic experience with Caboose and perfect location to enjoy outdoor living on covered porch of bathhouse.
We are 80 years old. The bed was too close to the wall to enter or exit with ease. The weather was too cold for comfort getting to the bathroom at night( which is an issue with older persons) This is a perfect stay for a young couple in warm weather. Not for cold weather. It was beautifully decorated. Just not good for us.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the décor and charm of the caboose! As noted in the listing, this is a unique glamping experience and the space is intentionally compact to preserve the authenticity of the train car. We always encourage guests to review the photos and description carefully to ensure it’s the right fit for their needs.
We’re proud to have hundreds of five-star reviews from guests who have loved the cozy, one-of-a-kind stay this caboose offers. While we’re sorry it wasn’t the perfect match for your needs, we truly appreciate your perspective and hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels.
Such a cute property and perfectly located. Hopefully I’ll be back soon from Seattle and would love to stay again.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your time at Station 451. We hope to host you again. Thank you!
My husband and I stayed at Station 451 to celebrate our 15th anniversary and had the most amazing time reconnecting with each other and with nature. The place was immaculately clean, adorably decorated and very cozy and romantic. We loved the outdoor shower, the waterfall, the covered porch living space to drink coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evenings. Brooke thought of everything we would need to make our trip special. We truly enjoyed every moment at the caboose!
