This unique two-story three bedroom, 2½ bath beach cottage (villa) will truly give you that island retreat feel. It is beautifully decorated with original artwork and one-of-a-kind furniture. It has over 1700 sq ft of living space and a spacious wraparound porch.

In this home, you’ll find tastefully decorated and comfortable living and dining rooms with plenty of seating. It has a well-equipped eat-in kitchen with breakfast counter, granite countertops, refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, and laundry area with full-size washer and dryer. Just off the living room is a large screened back porch with plenty of outdoor seating, surround sound, and beautiful views of palm trees and nature’s wetlands.

In addition to the main living areas, there are three bedrooms. The master suite has a large master bath with a garden tub, a separate glass-enclosed shower, and a double vanity. Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms and one full bath. This home is exquisite, with original paintings, antiques and surround sound speakers at every turn! Other features include a ½ bath adjacent to the living area, travertine flooring, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, central heating and air conditioning, and lots of storage areas.

Casa d' Artiste was well appointed having the essentials for "home away from home". We enjoyed the neighborhood, using the golf cart to explore. Also, while Casa d' Artiste is toward the front of the neighborhood, the golf cart (included in the price) made it easy to get to the beautiful private beach area at the back of the property. The 2 pools and hot tubs were great. We especially enjoyed the screened in area of the house. However, the mold on the furniture cushions caused me to have an allergic reaction. Other than that everything was wonderful. A heads up - the paper products were limited to one roll of paper towels, toilet paper was 1 roll per bathroom, 1 dishwasher tablet, 1 washing machine detergent package, and 1 trash can liner per can - including kitchen.. Bring additional necessary items to have a pleasant stay.Also, the personnel at the property went above and beyond in trying to make sure our stay was great!

The house features a spacious and private master suite on the main floor, and two upstairs bedrooms that were just right for our three kids. The home is decorated with plenty of unique art pieces, and perhaps most importantly, the air conditioner had no trouble keeping up in the sweltering heat! The 6-seater golf cart seemed brand new and was perfect for hauling ourselves and our gear to the pool and to the beach. The back porch and back bedrooms look over a small lagoon, and we enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife from the screened-in porch. Our kids loved the inner tubes and boogie boards stored at the house. This was our first time staying at Martinique and the pool and beach facilities were top notch. Both pools provide plenty of shady areas (the mid-point pool is even indoor/outdoor) and sturdy seating. We have rented a beach tent in the past when staying at other neighborhoods in Fort Morgan, but I really appreciated having the on-site daily rental option so that we could get chairs and umbrellas on an as-needed basis instead of hauling them from home or paying to have a tent the whole week, regardless of weather. Martinique seems to attract lots of families and both the pool and the beach were very family-friendly. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed this half double very much! The only thing we were not satisfied with was the carpet on the stairs and up stairs hurts your feet if you walk on and not wearing shoes! Golf cart was great , curb appeal was very beach like.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been vacationing at Martinique off and on for about 22 years. We have always enjoyed our experience, the staff and the accommodations. This year was very different. Casa d' Artiste was tired and worn looking. Walls were dirty, decor as indicated in photos was absent in person, spider webs throughout unit, trash on sofa, tables, and under furnishings. Space between master bath vanity and tub was filthy. Bathroom closet light was out and bulb wasn't replaced after an email to the office. Exterior walls hadn't been power washed in a long time, blinds in master bedroom weren't able to be raised, no beach chairs (even though listing said they had some), outside storage was wet and moldy. Golf cart was dirty and didn't have headlights. There was no soap and/or cleaning wipes in the gym. For the first 5 days of our stay, no soap in men's bathroom by the big pool. Trash in our yard, landscaping was untouched in front yard. I'm sure the owners of this unit would be totally surprised by the lack of attention this unit is getting by the management team.

Reviewer Comments: I hesitate to review because I think it might be unfair to the rental company given all the work they are trying to complete after hurricane damage. What was wonderful - location, group amenities, decor, security. What was not - unit's cleanliness and condition of unit. Examples: we had to bungee the headlights on the golf cart to keep them from dragging on the ground. Pans still had crusty food caked in them. Bathroom walls had dirt stains, white comforter had dirt stains, kitchen garbage can broken, wooden armchair broken, glass storm windows in upstairs back bedroom flew (swung) open in storm and would not close properly, fell on my hand causing injuries. Only 1 rusty beach chair. Everything else was wonderful. Did not want to give a neg review. Sorry.

We’ll be back next year. Only feedback would be to provide beach chairs and fix the broken light on the golf cart, but neither took away from the overall experience.
