La Casa del Grillo – A Charming Country Retreat Nestled in the peaceful rural landscapes of central Italy, La Casa del Grillo is a quaint country house (150 m²) that reflects the charm and craftsmanship of the early 1900s. Built with decorative elements and materials sourced from historic structures, it preserves the authenticity of its origins while offering modern comforts. One of the house’s most distinctive features is the collection of sculptures displayed both indoors and outdoors—works created by my father using repurposed antique farm tools. In his honour, the guest house is named La Casa del Grillo. The property features three cosy double bedrooms, TWO fully equipped kitchens, TWO bathrooms with showers, and TWO spacious living rooms. The spaces also include a relaxation area with a sofa, comfortable armchairs, and a TV—perfect for gathering and unwinding as a group. Outside, a large garden with a small pool, a barbecue area, hammocks, and sun loungers offers the ideal setting for a relaxing and unforgettable countryside holiday. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, allowing you to stay connected while enjoying your nature retreat.

In the surrounding area, you can immerse yourself in history and nature by visiting the fascinating Etruscan necropolises of Tarquinia and Castel d’Asso, be enchanted by the magic of Santa’s House in Vetralla, admire the picturesque Civita di Bagnoregio—known as “the dying city,” and discover the fairy-tale-like Park of the Monsters in Bomarzo. Nature lovers can explore the two enchanting lakes of Vico and Bolsena or stroll among the majestic beech trees of the Faggeta dei Monti Cimini, a place of unspoiled charm.
