Spacious common area, clean, nice balcony view of town, close to train station and grocery store. The kitchen had plenty of plates/silverware but could have used more pots/pans, but it did the job. Laundry on site was nice but it is a very small machine and you need to provide your own detergent. WiFi didn’t work and when I reached out to the host I was told he would check with his team but he never got back to me about it. The space matched the pictures online and worked well for our group of five. Lots of steep steps up to top floor (like most places in town) and you can hear the train (noise machine helps with this in the evening).

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the spacious common areas, the cleanliness, the balcony view, and the convenient location, and that the apartment worked well for your group. We also appreciate your comments regarding the kitchen equipment and will review this with our team to see how we can improve the setup for guests who wish to cook more. We are sorry to hear about the issue with the WiFi and the lack of follow-up from the local contact. This is not the level of communication we aim to provide, and we will address it internally to ensure better responsiveness in the future. Thank you again for your useful feedback. Happy Rentals Team

4/10 Poor

Although the bedding, towels, and bathroom seemed to be freshly cleaned, the rest of the flat was questionable. Many of the dishes and silverware in the cabinets had food remnants, which resulted in our decision to not use the kitchen at all; this was one of the primary reasons we booked this location. We attempted to contact the hosts multiple times about things that did not work (one being the fan, which is very necessary in a unit that does not have ac) or that were dirty and were given different people to contact. The response was to send pictures and video and that it would be sent "to the company". The wifi was not stable enough to send pictures or video, so this was a lengthy process. When I would follow up the response was "we have sent it to the company", but no one actually came to do anything. I first reached out on Friday, and when we departed on Tuesday we still did not have anything that was problematic addressed. The location is great and the bathroom has been updated and has plenty of hot water. The company Happy Rentals does not adequately clean or prepare the property and is essentially non-responsive to any problems.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the location, the updated bathroom, and the hot water. We are sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Regarding the request for photos and videos, this is a standard procedure that helps us better understand the situation, assess the severity of an issue, and provide the most appropriate solution. Unfortunately, we sometimes receive claims that are not related to actual problems or requests for compensation without sufficient details, so having supporting information allows us to act fairly and efficiently. That said, we are sorry that the issues you reported were not resolved during your stay, and we will review the communication process with our team to improve our response times. Thank you again for your feedback. Kind regards, Happy Rentals Team

The apartment as very clean, with a spacious living room and very comfortable beds. And it was very conveniently located. The balcony overlooking Vernazza's Main Street was great, too. It's very close to the train station, which was both good and bad. But we weren't really bothered by the train noise. The only thing we had trouble with was the four flights of steep stairs leading to the apartment. They're narrow, there's no railing on the third flight and the lights didn't stay on long. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay, and the flights of stairs are no one's fault! It's an old building.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness, the spacious living room, the comfortable beds, and the convenient location, as well as the balcony overlooking Vernazza’s main street. We also appreciate your comment regarding the stairs. As you noted, this is an historic building and the layout is part of its original structure, but we understand it can be challenging and we will keep your observations in mind. We are glad that, overall, you had an enjoyable stay and hope to welcome you again in the future. Happy Rentals Team
