Cynthia, First of all, thank you for staying with us, and I'm glad to hear the beds were so comfortable for you. I feel the need to address several of the issues you raised in your review, as many are simply not true. I have reached out to you twice to discuss these and Vrbo has also reached out to you as well. Neither of us have received a reply. The vast majority of our reviews are 5-star for good reason, because we work very hard to keep our property in good, clean and working condition. I often stay at the house between groups, so I'm aware of what needs repaired and improved and correct those as they arise. I realize you also stayed at another property in San Diego prior to your arrival here, so perhaps you've mixed up some property issues. You stated in your review that one of the bathrooms "doesn't appear to have been updated recently". However, both bathrooms were completely gutted and upgraded at the same time (posted photos are recent). Neither bathroom has exhaust fans (that's how these homes were built), since both bathrooms have windows. You stated the stove and oven are "on their last leg" and emit gas fumes, the oven took a long time to heat up and the burners went out at low levels. Since your stay I've used the oven and stovetop with no such issues. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking in, with several baking pans, and while the skillets are not brand new they are in fine condition for cooking and not cheap (T-fal). The bathroom windows have no window coverings since from outside those windows are 8' high. The issues you've raised that are true are the washing machine was loud (now fixed) and the chipped floor tile grout in master bathroom. As for the occasional spider, well I guess every house has that issue. Cynthia, I certainly wish you would have contacted me about these issues while you were here, as per the rental agreement. As I told you upon checking in, I'm nearby and can be reached 24/7 with any issues, so I'm confused by your lack of communication and why you would post these in a review rather than contact me. Again, if you mixed up property issues with your San Diego rental then please edit and correct your review of our property. I welcome your reply call so that we can discuss this. Thank you.

Jessie, thank you for your comments, and I apologize the house was not up to standard. This is unacceptable, and I've met with my cleaning crew to ensure this never happens again.
