The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite wet room, double, and twin, serviced by a second-floor shower room. Outside, there is an enclosed, rear terraced garden with patio, lawn, and furniture, along with roadside parking. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Stairgate available. You'll find a shop in 5.5 miles and pub in 0.1 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels are inc. in rent. 2 Mtrtle Cottages is a lovely base for a rural retreat in Devon.

Town: Stockland is a small rural village resting in East Devon, among the idyllic Blackdown Hills AONB. Close by are some of Devon's most popular attractions. The market town of Axminster, lined with fine buildings, offers much to the visitor including an excellent range of amenities and a fascinating museum. To the western side of the Blackdown Hills you will find another market town, Honiton also holds much charm along with a museum and an art gallery and a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. After your dose of undulating countryside, walking and cycling, you may wish to head to the coast, nearby there is a choice of wonderful seaside spots including Seaton, Beer, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth (Close by is the Donkey Sanctuary, an additional popular visitor spot). All come which their own individual character and promise a fun-packed day trip to the beach with their activities and opportunities on offer.
