Wow! Setenil, what a unique location! We had 2 brief nights and would definitely come back for a longer stay to explore more. Navigation down narrow Spanish town roads requires a lot of skill and nerves. We missed the turn and found ourselves on the other end of town but fortunately one call to host Elena and she had secured us a parking spot and guided us to our very modern rental. The big dining room window that opens and the amazing views from the deck are the best especially at night. A short walk up to a restaurant or down the hill to the plaza and shops. So beautiful everywhere. We got caught up in the local celebration and pageantry that ended outside Arriate. Much fun with new friends! The rental had most of what we needed and a comfy bed. Unfortunately we locked our keys in one night which Elena quickly remedied, so thankful to her for doing that. This is a special place and requires good legs, but you’ll be rewarded for the effort.

The views from the terrace are amazing, for sure one of the best spots to stay in Setenil, mostly considering that you’re very well located as well, less than 5 minute walk from the two iconic streets of this wonderful city. Also right by multiple small grocery stores. The place looks like it’s freshly renovated, very nice inside with all the amenities you need. If you want to visit Ronda, it’s only 20mins away by car, and I think you’re better off staying in Setenil than Ronda to get your money’s worth.The host is such a nice person, she personally came to get us and show us where to park before taking our luggage in her car and bringing them to our apartment. She was also so helpful with recommendations and very responsive when we had questions.This spot is a hidden gem, book it before it starts selling out!
