Exquisite and modern 2bed apartment in city centre

Summary:
Welcome to our beautiful home in the Docklands area of Dublin. Our absolutely gorgeous home is a couple of minutes from 3arena. It is the perfect place to explore Dublin city on foot and see what it has to offer. You are a stone throw to Grand Canal Dock and all the major Dublin sites are easily a short walk from this property.

The Space:
This is a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment. It has an open plan livingroom, dining area and a designated desk area. There is a very modern kitchen just off the dining room. We have 2 bathrooms in the property. We have 2 large bedrooms with king beds, one with an ensuite. It is a beautiful place to call home for your adventure in Dublin.

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the entire property during their stay.

The Neighborhood:
This is a very popular and hip part of Dublin. It has numerous pubs, restaurants and entertainment in the area. It has a large shopping centre closeby with all the shops you could need and a cinema also. It is a short walk to the very centre of Dublin where you can enjoy Templebar and the sites like Templebar, Guinness Brewery, Christchurch and Trinity College.

Getting Around:
The area has numerous modes of transports.
Spencer Dock has excellent connections to Dublin City, primarily through the Luas red line, Dublin Bus, and the interchange with Irish Rail at Connolly Station.
Luas Red Line: Spencer Dock is a major Luas stop on the red line, providing direct access to the city center and beyond.
Dublin Bus: Several Dublin Bus routes connect Spencer Dock to the city, including Routes G1 and G2, which are part of the G-Spine network, and other routes like 53A, 90, and 151.
Irish Rail: You can easily interchange with Irish Rail services at nearby Connolly Station, which is a major hub for commuter and regional trains.

The apartment was clean and spacious but a bit rundown for its age. It looks like what you would expect from a place where there is not an owner who checks it out regularly. For example, the towel racks were pulled off the walls in the bathrooms. The living area and kitchen were large and nicely appointed. The hot water worked as instructed. The parking was a challenge getting through and back out of the second set of gates. We needed to wait for another building occupant to use their keys.

Multiple emails with various information made the process confusing. Upon arrival, there are no directional signs in the parkade to find the assigned spot which is not in the main parkade and dark due to sensor lights. There are multiple coded doors in the parkade. We had no instructions on which door and we weren’t provided a code. When we called, we were told to send a photo of where we were located. We did and only heard back 3 hours later. The second bedroom bed should be replaced. The ensuite shower is small. Clear instructions should be provided for the water heater and broken knobs be replaced. This is not a common system so clear instructions should be left or replaced all together. The all-in-one washer dryer did not dry, probably due to it not having an external vent, again instructions on how to use the unit and how to empty the reservoir if it has one. Dish towels and dish cloths should be provided. A coffee maker, tea strainer should be provided. The empty picture hooks and what frames were on the wall were just that, frames with the manufacturer matting with no pictures, gives it a ghetto type feeling. More towels should be provided. I would recommend you have an onsite host meet vacation renters to eliminate some of these issues. The location is good with surrounding amenities. Easy to get to airport. It would be great to have more than one set of keys as well.

The property is as pictured, however, in person, it is a bit 'tired'. The living room and dining room are well appointed. The double bed was not very comfortable - the sofa bed in the living room was more comfortable than the bed. The team from Houst was amazing and highly responsive, which we appreciated. For travellers who were not familiar with the use of a water press and need to turn it on in advance to have hot waters for showers, it would have been helpful to have a video as part of the directions. Also, it is important to note that the keys are picked up and dropped off at a convenience store not in the apartment complex.
