Dartmoor View Log Cabin is a hand-built log cabin with its own private hot tub and garden area where guests can enjoy a luxury get away in the quiet beauty of North Devon. The log cabins have been hand built using British timber and finished to the highest standards. Everything inside has been made with comfort in mind - from the Egyptian cotton linen to the underfloor heating, well-equipped little kitchen and comfy sofa. The panoramic view provides an ever-changing backdrop to your stay in the daytime, while the awe-inspiring, world famous dark skies of Exmoor will frame the cabin and hot tub at night.

Indoor Description
The front door opens into an open-plan living area, warmed by underfloor heating and thoughtfully furnished for a relaxing stay. The sitting area includes a comfortable sofa, television with Freeview, a selection of board games, cards, books, and an OS map to help plan local walks. Free WiFi and good mobile signal (including 4G) are available.

The well-equipped kitchen features an electric oven, induction hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, and kettle. On arrival, guests will find Exmoor’s own Miles tea and coffee, along with homemade biscuits and fresh milk ready to enjoy.

A separate bedroom offers a double bed made up with Egyptian cotton bedlinen, and the en-suite bathroom includes an electric shower, heated towel rail, toilet and basin. Towels and bathrobes are provided, along with complimentary Bramley toiletries.

Outdoor Description
Dartmoor View Log Cabin is set within its own enclosed garden. The decking area around the cabin includes a private electric-heated hot tub and a table and chairs for outdoor dining. A couple of steps down to the generous garden area where deck chairs and a fire pit is provided.

The hot tub will be ready and waiting for your arrival - no heating required - offering a peaceful soak after a day exploring. Guests are advised to bring flip flops or similar for getting to/from the hot tub as the decking area can be slippery when wet.

Dartmoor View is one of two identical cabins positioned on opposite sides of a meadow, each is carefully placed to ensure guests can enjoy privacy. The owners live nearby on the farm, they will be available to assist if you need it, but will otherwise leave to your own devices.

Please note, the property is on a working farm, so there may be livestock or machinery nearby, and the ground can be damp or uneven underfoot.

Dartmoor View Log Cabin is situated on the southern boundary of Exmoor, two miles from the pretty village of North Molton and just 10 minutes from the A361 North Devon Link Road which provides easy access from the M5. The site is accessed from a quiet country lane.

North Molton is a village in North Devon and until the 18th century the village was an important centre of the woollen industry, and mining was also a significant employer in the parish until the 19th century. North Molton has a popular village pub serving food and a well stocked village shop and cafe.

Exmoor provides a great base for walking, cycling and exploring. There are miles of walking routes and many pretty villages to sightsee. There are also opportunities to ride, to play golf at the famous Saunton Sands Golf Course or to visit a number of outstanding gardens such as those at Marwood, Castle Hill Estate and RHS Rosemoor. North Molton is within easy reach of the famous Tarr Steps, The Chains (a wonderful place for the experienced walker), the Tarka Trail, the North Devon coastal path. The north coast from Minehead through Porlock and Lynton to Woody Bay and the Valley of the Rocks are some of the most stunning scenery in Britain boasting the highest cliffs. The beaches at Saunton and Croyde are not far away (approx 45 mins by car).

South Molton, the nearest town, is just 5 miles away and has a large award winning local market on Thursday and Saturday mornings. The town has lots of independent shops including butchers, bakers, a cheese shop and several gift shops to explore. Barnstaple, North Devon’s main market town, with its famous Pannier Market and Butchers Row – excellent for both meat and locally caught fish, is within easy reach and offers a range of shopping facilities and other activities.
