Remodeled Studio at the Monache. Steps to the Village. Behaved dogs welcomed.
TOT #7475-0005
Remodeled studio with all new furniture/ lighting and artwork. Sleeps 4 in the newest luxury property at the Village. There is no better way to enjoy your stay in Mammoth than by immersing yourself in modern elegance within the Monache. This beautiful studio has been upgraded for your style and comfort with all new restored wood furniture, rustic flooring, new bedding, new couch/queen sleeper that is the most comfortable one on the market as it doesn't have bars or springs, new chairs, new flat screen TV, and my own original artwork. Let this be your home while you explore all the beauty and adventure that the Eastern Sierra is famous for. At the Monache, the newest and most beautiful hotel in Mammoth, you are steps away from the Village and mountain gondola. The Village is the hub of action in Mammoth; concerts, festivals, movies under the stars, shopping, restaurants, gondola to the slopes, ski and bike rentals, as well as free shuttles whisking you to virtually anywhere you want to go—it’s all steps away. After a day of fun come home and relax in front of the gas fireplace or soak in one of two outdoor hot tubs nestled next to the saline swimming pool set among the trees, there’s also a BBQ area as well as a workout center. Hungry? You're a elevator ride away from the 'Whitebark' an elegant restaurant within the Monache's lobby. While waiting to be seated relax on one of the lobby's couchs next to an amazing replica of 'Devils Postpile'. The Monache is one beautiful hotel. In the summer the mountain bike tram picks up in front of the gondola station or you can catch the free Red Trolley that'll take you around Mammoth, even up to the lakes basin--they'll take your dog and bikes too. So come, enjoy it all, and leave your car parked in the underground parking structure. Lastly, I allow dogs. As a big animal, and dog lover I appreciate when guests include their dog in their vacations, I bring my Cheyenne everywhere as well. That said I rely on guests to bring well behaved, non-destructive and potty trained dogs. Once a dog soils in the unit other dogs are much more likely to do so as well. Therefore, if a dog does go to the bathroom in the unit I will charge a minimum of $50.00. Guests are fully responsible for their dogs--please see to it that they don't soil or damage the unit. They can't bark either. If hair requires extra cleaning I will also need to charge more accordingly. Great location. Hot tub and pool were perfect end to ski day . Don’t forget bathing suit !! Easy to access unit, parking garage and the village shopping /dining. Free coffee in lobby
Property was super welcoming to pets! Unit was clean and just a described. The stairs to the Village for the gondola to access the mountain was the only downside. Ended up renting a locker to help with hauling gear up and down the stairs.
Great little studio for me, my husband and our dog. Over looks the village and you can watch the gondolas glide by. The host was great providing all the details you need. Onsite underground parking was super convenient. I don’t usually write reviews but the cleanliness and homey feel made it worth a comment. It was nice to have a place this nice where we could bring our dog with us.
Room was just like it was listed, views and location was amazing! They also had filtered water dispensers on the same floor. Instructions were clear for check in and check out.
This is a great location for access to the village and gondola to the ski runs. If you end up on the other side of the mountain, you can take the bus conveniently back to the village. Ski and board rentals are right across the street as well
Size was good for 2 adults with older kid and a dog. Studio was in a great location, the hotel was beautiful, and everything with the room was as described. Much nicer than other hotels in the area. Property manager was very accommodating when something came up and we requested a late check out. We would definitely stay here again!!
Cute and cozy, perfect for the two of us and our dog. All you need to bring is your clothes, everything else is provided. Beautiful condo in the Westin hotel. Definitely would stay again! Very dog friendly resort and host!!
We come back every year with our Husky (since she was a puppy) and always have the best time. It feels like home as we know exactly where everything is. This place has become special to us as we have built so many memories. The place is always super clean and tidy with everything you need and more. We will be back again next year !
Loved staying here. Perfect location to walk to The Village or many other places. Convenient underground parking and easy access to our room. Was set up great for the two of us. Great central location for the many hikes we took. Would definitely stay there again, especially in the fall. Less crowds and beautiful fall colors.
Myself, my husband and our dog really enjoyed our stay here. It is a great location for skiing as it is right by the gondola from the village to canyon. It was very clean and the covered parking was a huge perk. Would definitely stay there again!

About the host
Hosted by Jeff Hansen
I'm a chiropractor specializing in active release technique aka ART. I moved to Mammoth in 2012 expecting to only stay 1 ski season but as the locals say 'you come for the winter but stay because of the summer' so true. So here I stay. I also wrote a mystery novel which was published ... so I've had fun, and live in paradise.
Why they chose this property
Ah it's the Monache. In the middle of the action, and it's a beautiful and well maintained resort hotel. I have 3 other condo's that I rent on VRBO as well. One on the second floor of the Monache another in the Village and another at Helios next door to the Westin--a larger unit for bigger families.
What makes this property unique
I've upgraded all of my units with new furniture, new appliances and high quality bedding/pillows/towels. New flooring at my other 3 units--this one the carpet was still good so maybe next year.
