The place was charming, and close to everything. We were walking distance from most of the places we wanted to see, the house was comfortable and warm.
Thank you for this beautiful stay in Rome on the bustling streets of Trastevare. The apartment was spacious and beautiful and well maintained and we appreciated great communication on letting us in. The neighborhood the apartment is in was bustling with nightlife and was a fun part of Rome. One thing to know is it could get a bit loud at night from the nightlife on the streets for sensitive sleepers. Overall, the apartment was a gorgeous and well maintained gem in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
We could not have been happier with our apartment - it is gorgous, and there was room for all of us. We travelled with one mom, and three young adult kids and loved just everything about this apartment and the location. We loved the liveliness of the street below us and had a terrific time exploring all the restaurants just steps from us. We appreciated having a laundry in the kitchen, and the beautiful old features of the apartment (the front door is massive; we loved the ceiling beams and the fantastic lock on the bedroom off the living room. Check in was easy and painless, and Marta, who checked us in, was wonderful in getting us a car to pick us up at 6:30 in the morning to take us to the airport when we left Italy. We weren't really bothered by the loudness of the street activities. All the restaurants were showing the world cup until 3:30 in the morning, and we were able to hear the chearing on one night. But, the windows are very thick and other than that one night of revelry, we couldn't hear the regular nightlife activity in the apartment. We would absolutely stay here again.
This was our first time staying in a VRBO and it has changed the way we will travel going forward.Immediately after scheduling the reservation, I was contacted via text (WhatsApp) with specific instructions regarding the check-in process, available transportation services, and general information and rules about the property. I scheduled our check-in time with Marta, our local contact. She also scheduled a car for us to and from the Airport and made herself available early, as we were arriving a few hours before our scheduled arrival time. Marta walked us through the apartment, showed us where everything was, how to use the appliances and air conditioning, and gave directions to a grocery store within walking distance. She was very responsive and extremely patient and kind with all of our questions and requests. The apartment itself was wonderful. The location is on a bustling street above numerous restaurants and shops, and within walking distance to several bus stops and a bridge, giving easy access to everything Rome has to offer. Having been on our family vacation and staying in hotels the previous week, it was wonderful to have everyone in the same space. We were able to do a little bit of laundry, cook and eat meals together, relax in the hot afternoon and watch tv, and come back after a late dinner to play games or lean out the windows to hear the musicians below. If we visit Rome again, we will definitely stay here.
The apartment was absolutely fantastic to stay in; it was just beautiful, super comfortable, and we didn't want to leave. It stayed incredibly cool throughout our stay while the days were peaking at 36-39C, and despite being in the middle of the busy nightlife of Trastevere, the noise didn't really bother us as we could barely hear it with the windows and shutters closed. It definitely still would have been worth it even if it was very loud, as staying in the heart of Trastevere was brilliant - the Piazza Trilussa a minute's walk from the front door was alive with performances, music, and dancing every night which was great to swing by on our way home each evening, and there were other lovely piazzas, restaurants, bars, mini markets, and vintage shops all within walking distance. Being so close to the River Tiber was also lovely. The only thing I can think of to bear in mind about the location is that it isn't that near any metro stops, but you can get the bus relatively close by, and the walk from the bus stop is very manageable. We walked most places anyway.Marta was very helpful and friendly in our communication, and Vittorio who let us in and showed us around the place was amazing too. He provided change when we were paying our city tax and even sent us some local restaurant recommendations. We took his advice and it was great! We had everything we needed in the apartment, it was an extremely charming space, and our stay was wonderful - we felt very lucky to be there.
Appartement très bien situé, charmant, propre, bien équipé et spacieux. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Le seul bémol est l'animation de la rue, bruyante chaque soir jusqu'à 1h du matin.
