All on one level, the Bunkhouse has been designed with versatility and comfort in mind. The four bedrooms each feature sturdy bunk beds, offering relaxed and practical sleeping arrangements for groups of all sizes.
Shared facilities include modern showers, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious living room and dining area. Adding to the fun, the dining table easily flips into a pool table, perfect for games nights and group entertainment. The building’s light and open-plan layout can be adapted to suit a wide variety of gatherings, from casual group getaways to events, parties, or even small conferences. A south-facing covered veranda runs the full length of the Bunkhouse, offering extra space for al fresco dining, barbecues, or simply soaking up the sunshine.
With walking and cycling routes right from the door, and Kielder Forest just minutes away, the Bunkhouse is perfectly placed for outdoor adventure. Wildlife spotting is a highlight here, with chances to see red squirrels, deer, wild goats, and ospreys. At night, the skies come alive, Tarset Tor lies within Europe’s largest International Dark Sky Park, making stargazing an unforgettable experience. For thrill-seekers, the team can help organise fishing trips, horse riding, quad biking, survival skills, and golf tours. Guests also enjoy a wealth of on-site facilities, including a barbecue and fire pit, woodland bar, sauna, bird hide, drying room, bike wash and cycle store, 5-a-side football pitch, and pool table.
