The house was amazing, it was magical, and as we where celebrating 2 birthdays and 2 wedding anniversaries, this location was stunning, the house is beautiful the grounds fantastic, and the views from the observatory space and celestial suite rooms is outstanding. the pictures do not do the place justice, it is so impressive, and we would love to book again.
Wonderful property in a stunning location. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Showers had good water pressure. The cinema room was used every evening with a well stocked library of dvds. Lots of games to keep us entertained. The swimming pool was clean and fairly warm. I would recommend
This place was amazing! The home was perfect to accommodate our group of 11. The grounds were beautiful and located in the perfect setting! Eleven independent people were in our group and each and everyone completely satisfied!!!Thank you for a wonderful stay.
This was an ideal setting for a large family celebration. Great mix of spaces to all get together or have your own spaces. Well stocked kitchen for large family meal prep. Made use of the tennis court and pool and the surrounding area was just beautiful.
Our 4th time staying at this amazing house- everything you need for family of all ages from 6years to 80 years old, love the feel of the house and the facilities - hot tub, swimming pool and bar are our faves - and love the grand dining room! Looking forward to coming again!
Amazing stay, we love the location, the facilities and the variety of spaces to be in really works well for the mix of our family. We had a wonderful stay. Lots of bathrooms helps with bigger groups, the gardens and pool are such a bonus and the courtyard space we spent the whole weekend outdoors enjoying the birdsong and lovely weather.
There had been a mix up with the cleaners and the house had not been cleaned before we arrived, but the local guys did their best, and it wasn’t a massive problem. The cleaners came the next morning. It’s a great place for a big family get together, with lots of things to keep both children and adults happy.
Great stay! The house was perfect and just what we wanted. There were a few problems but the hosts resolved them promptly once contacted. Would love to stay here again there was so much to keep you busy as well as feeling like a real retreat. Super comfy beds.
Great house for a group gathering. Lots of space and very comfortable. Took a little bit of time to heat up with some rooms warmer than others but overall not a problem. The green room and celestial suite were lovely spaces, the large dining table great for special meals. We probably needed more time to use all the facilities but great to have them available
We have been visiting this property for the past five years, but unfortunately, we have seen a significant deterioration in its overall condition during that time. The toilet in the games room was out of order, meaning we had to use a family member’s bathroom, which was the nearest available alternative. The downstairs toilet has had an overwhelming smell of drains, similar to rotten eggs, for all five years we have been visiting. On previous occasions, we were advised to leave the light on so that the extractor fan could potentially help with the smell. Unfortunately, the problem has now worsened, with the same smell reaching the bathroom above. On one morning, this was so bad that it caused a family member to vomit. We appreciate that this is an older property and understand that some wear and tear is inevitable. However, the level of deterioration we have witnessed is now unacceptable. Damp patches on the walls and mould in rooms are particularly concerning due to the potential health implications. The photographs advertised online appear to be very old and do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property or the issues guests can expect to encounter.Having returned for five consecutive years, it is disappointing to see the property decline to this extent. Sadly, we will not be returning, as we feel the condition of the house has deteriorated beyond what we consider acceptable for a holiday rental. We hope the owners will take these concerns seriously.
Amazing house, loads of facilities, My family had a great time staying here for a long weekend, especially the grandchildren so much for them to do, photos don't do it justice,we would highly recommend it .
What a lovely place. It is a beautiful home with lots of things to do just inside the home itself, not including the outside. Just 4.5 miles to the border with Scotland, if you like staying inside or like driving (that's us), this is the place for you. Unfortunately we were unable to take advantage of some of the outdoor things, due to the weather but everything looked beautiful.
Everyone Loved the stay. 14 of us plus a babystayed 4 nights to celebrate my 70 birthday! We took all the food with us and 4 couples had a night each to feed everyone and it worked out great. It is very impressive and the cinema and games rooms are brilliant. Left this morning and hopefully be back again at some point.
