About this property
Nyth Fach, Nanternis
Dating back to 1752, Nyth Fach – meaning “little nest” in Welsh – is a beautifully restored historic cottage for two, set on the spectacular West Wales Heritage Coast near New Quay, Ceredigion. Once the original farmhouse at Llainfran, it has been lovingly brought back to life, offering the perfect retreat for couples who want to explore both coast and countryside.
Behind its whitewashed walls and pretty blue front door lies a surprisingly spacious interior, full of character and comfort. Step inside and you’ll feel as though you’ve travelled back in time – but with all the modern touches that make a holiday truly relaxing. It’s a cosy, welcoming nest where you can unwind in style.
Just a short stroll away is Cwmtydu Cove, one of the many hidden gems along this unspoilt coastline. Walk the coastal path, spot wildlife, explore historic sites, or simply spend a lazy afternoon beachcombing. On cooler days, curl up by the fire with a good book and enjoy the cottage’s snug charm.
Venture a little further and you’ll find lively New Quay, with its sandy beaches, picturesque harbour, water sports, and dolphin-spotting boat trips. Head west and discover the beautiful beaches of Llangrannog and Penbryn, along with a string of other secret coves.
Back at Llainfran, 16 acres of farmland surround you, home to a delightful mix of animals – sheep, goats, alpacas, Shetland ponies, and a pair of cheeky donkeys. Guests are always welcome to say hello.
Whether you’re seeking coastal adventures or quiet, romantic moments, Nyth Fach is a timeless little hideaway you’ll want to return to again and again.
