About this property

3 Bed in Llanrhychwyn (oc-wag577)

In a truly remote location, this traditional stone cottage offers a holiday of peace and tranquillity right in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. This rural retreat is perfect for families of five or a group of friends looking to explore the sights and attractions of this spectacular part of Wales.

Although set in the owners’ grounds along with a handful of other properties, privacy is assured in this renovated two-storey cottage. Blending contemporary furnishings with period features, like exposed beams and fireplace, this stylish stay offers creature comforts in abundance. The door opens into a light, cosy living room, where a corner sofa invites you to put your feet up and sip a crisp drink in front of the glowing wood burner. Next door, a well-equipped kitchen is a delightful space to rustle up a feast with produce you’ve found on your travels. Rope the team into serving up on the adjoining dining table, and after dinner, gather for a film and endless laughter into the night. The ground-floor single bedroom and accompanying shower are extremely handy, whilst the first-floor rooms provide a snuggly sleep for weary guests. At daybreak, watch the sun appear from behind the mountains, soaking up the fresh air and quenching your thirst with your first morning coffee.

Put on your walking boots or get your bicycle ready to discover a mixture of gentle routes and challenging climbs right from your doorstep. Take in the spectacular surroundings and listen to the hum of wildlife whilst following the pathway to Trefriw, a small village just over 2 miles away serving tasty delights in the few cafés, pubs and restaurants. Try your hand at fishing or paddleboarding at the nearby lakes, Llyn Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd, or visit Zip World Fforest (5.5 miles) to go gliding across a quarry at high speed.
