About this property

3 Bed in Cemmaes Road (oc-h29101)

This homely barn conversion is in a rural spot between the villages of Glantwymyn and Cemmaes (both 0.5 miles), creating a lovely holiday retreat for couples, friends and small families. It’s in the heart of the picturesque Dyfi Valley, with the majestic Snowdonia National Park just 5 miles away – wonderful if you like hiking and cycling through spectacular scenery. Surrounded by the undulating Mid Wales landscapes and easily reachable via the A470, this home offers a tranquil escape with stunning views.

Made from gorgeous stone on the outside, the inside of the cottage features exposed stonework and brickwork, along with sleek wooden ceiling beams for a rustic appearance. When you’ve been out exploring all day, it’s lovely to relax with fellow guests in the spacious lounge, which is illuminated by natural light from the bay windows. Comfy sofas and a welcoming wood burner set you up for cosy nights in. For eating, you’ll have both a dining table and a breakfast bar that’s handy for perching with coffees and breakfasts. Out the front, there’s a walled front garden with a lush lawn and garden furniture – perfect for fresh-air dining in good weather.

The nearby village of Cemmaes features a pub, coffee shop and convenience store, all within 1 mile. You’ll find plenty to do in the area – Dyfi Bike Park (7 miles) offers adrenaline-fuelled adventures, while the Mach Loop (9.5 miles) offers an exciting spectacle of low-flying aircrafts observable from a number of local spots, including your garden. Further afield, the historic town of Machynlleth (6.5 miles) offers antique shops and galleries, along with a wonderful market every Wednesday.
