Tucked among the rolling hills of the Pembrokeshire National Park, this luxurious and spacious barn conversion is just a mile from the pristine sands of Freshwater East. Providing ample accommodation for seven guests, this dog-friendly property features light-filled interiors and an exceptional garden with outdoor dining, children’s play areas and an undercover dining tower with a view.
This barn conversion has a unique, split-level layout, with several small sets of steps throughout. Inside, the rooms are light and airy, with high, sloping ceilings, skylights, and a fresh, contemporary style. The modern, country style kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals for a group, while the farmhouse-style dining table invites fun, leisurely dinners. Dual-aspect windows and skylights bathe the lounge in natural light, highlighting the calming colour scheme and creating the ideal spot for relaxing evenings. Three soothing bedrooms are divided between the ground and first floors. The ground-floor double is accompanied by a convenient downstairs WC, while upstairs, there’s a family room with a king-size and single bed, plus a twin. A family bathroom with a free-standing tub and a walk-in shower, and a utility room complete the interior. The outside of this property is a delight with large, sloping lawns dotted with children’s play equipment, a patio with a BBQ, and ‘the folly’, a tower with a covered dining area which enjoys views across the countryside.
A path leads from the rear garden to the beach, passing through woodland and descending down steep slopes. Alternatively, it’s less than a mile by car to this wide sandy beach. More seaside fun can be found at Tenby (8.5 miles), which boasts four sandy beaches, and a picturesque harbour where you can hop on a boat trip to Caldey Island. History enthusiasts can head to Pembroke (3.5 miles) to visit the impressive 11th-century castle.
