Spacious, modern unit in a nice resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Luxxe. The unit is on the ground floor of building four. It doesn’t have any views, but it was very spacious and had all we needed. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. The overall Vidanta resort is huge, which has its advantages in that there are a lot of options for food, pools and activities. The downside is that you end up walking long distances or taking a web of golf carts to get anywhere, and they don’t make it easy to leave the resort. None of the restaurants were particularly great but all were decent enough. The beach is nice and not crowded, with quick food and drink service. But the beach is rocky so you will do the swimming in the pools instead. All the staff were very nice and accomodating. They double charged us at check out and haven’t been responsive enough in fixing their mistake. Overall a good experience.

Thanks, Philip, for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Grand Luxxe. Regarding getting around the resort and leaving the resort for outside excursions, if you decide to return, I would be happy to give you some tips on how to better navigate the internal and external transportation. Regarding swimming in the ocean, I would also be happy to tell you where to walk at the resort beach to find the non-rocky areas where you can easily swim from the shore. Regarding the food at the resort, my family and I have found that while some of the resort restaurants are "decent", there are a few others, in particular, that have amazing food, and I would be glad to provide some recommendations for next time.
