You’ll be welcomed by your host, Veronica, who will be more than happy to attend to all your needs and ensure that your stay at our property is unforgettable.
The name of this cosy apartment, “Il Cammino,” marks the beginning of a unique experience. From here, you can reach the nearby historic centre of San Quirico d’Orcia, which encloses within its centuries-old walls sites of great importance, such as the Horti Leonini with their Italian-style gardens, the Collegiate Church, the Church of San Francesco, the Church of the Madonna, and its charming streets lined with artisan shops and cosy eateries where you can savour the local produce. Alternatively, as soon as you step outside, you can turn your gaze southward and begin “Il Cammino”—at your feet lies one of the most important routes in the world, the Via Francigena, which winds its way up through the rolling hills, flanked by cypress trees that, like paintbrushes, paint the sky blue, passing through Vignoni Alto, whose tower dominates the valley, then descending through the vineyards towards Bagno Vignoni—famous worldwide for its thermal waters—leaving it behind, hidden by the steam rising from its hot springs, to stretch out along the Val d’Orcia, emerald green and nestled among the hills dominated by famous gems such as Pienza and Montalcino, heading towards Rome as everything fades into a blue horizon that gradually fades away, giving way to other villages and wonders.
Our holiday home, Il Cammino, is located about 800 metres from the historic centre in a small, family-friendly, and very quiet area. Both the supermarket and the pharmacy are within walking distance, as are the main attractions our small village has to offer. A cot and an extra bed are available upon request.
