Stylish, Central, 3-Bedroom, 2-Bath Apartment in St Kilda with pool & trampoline
Enormous, light filled, beautifully furnished, 3 br apartment in a quiet, leafy street, right the middle of St Kilda. The apartment is ideally suited to large groups - with an enormous living area and two bathrooms, and two entrances. The apartment sleeps 8 with existing bedding, and 2 extra mattresses can be supplied if needed.
The apartment is the entire top floor of a block of two apartments. It is ideally suited to families, with a large garden area with an Olympic size trampoline, heated in ground swimming pool, and the famous St Kilda Adventure Playground one minute's walk away. Two cots, a high chair, toys and stroller are supplied if needed.
The apartment's location is simply incredible; away from all the noise in a quiet street, but at the same time right in the middle of St Kilda, within a stone’s throw of restaurants, the beach and more. No need to catch a tram to see any of St Kilda's attractions, simply walk out the door and everything is a short stroll.
I lived in this apartment for 13 years (which is how I know how amazing it is) and now live downstairs in the only other apartment in the block. I am available to assist in any way needed, including recommendations for dining and activities, supply of any child related or other item, but also respect visitor's privacy - so you won’t see me unless you want to.
The apartment is less than a minute's walk to tram no 96 (to Brunswick - via city), tram no 16 - (to Melbourne University via the city) and tram no 12 (to Richmond). There are also buses just around the corner - 246 - Elsternwick - Clifton Hill via St Kilda, 600 - Southland Shopping Centre - St Kilda Station via Sandringham, 606 - Elsternwick Station - Fishermans Bend.
There is off street parking for those who have a car.

Hello Lisa - this is a very disappointing review - at no stage did you communicate with me about any issues, and in eight years there has never been anyone say anything about problems with sleeping - there are plenty of very comfortable beds, the property is in a quiet dead end street, there are block out curtains in each room, airconditioners and heaters....your comments make no sense. Previous reviews, covering the exact same conditions rate the apartment 10/10. I would like you to please withdraw your review. thank you.
Thank you for accommodating our family for my daughter’s 13th birthday weekend. This home was very spacious and perfect for our activities and festivities.
Property couldn’t be in any better location than this! It is a huge place with lots of quirkiness and we enjoyed our stay. Check in was super easy and facilities great too. Loads of games etc for the kids to use during your stay.

Sarah is a fantastic host, very knowledgeable about the local area and melbourne.
Stayed for 2 nights with a few friends and was blown away by the size and the atmosphere of the property, it's full of personality with a really gorgeous bathroom. It's very big and in a prime location for travelling to the beach restaurants (10 minute walk). The pool was a good size and although the hot tub didn't exactly work for us, it was still relaxing. Plenty of beds and bedding. Overall a wonderful place that I would stay again.
St Kilda Warehouse style / apartment, eclectic, fantastic space. situation perfect. Books galore , . Great for our little grandchild and would be for kids of all ages. The spa shower is not great for older people , very steep to get out of. ; ( and covered in ants) It just needs a really good clean and exhaust fans in the bathrooms. We had a great 10 days.
We loved our stay at this property. Sarah was great and excellent with her communication. We had a group of 5 adults. There was plenty of room, lovely coffee and everything we needed for a weekend getaway. The location was excellent. We were able to walk through to the local restaurant’s and St Kilda mall. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for having us Sarah.
I loved the retro style of the apartment. It was spacious and had everything we needed. There was plenty to entertain our teenagers, who especially enjoyed the outdoor area. The location was perfect - a short walk to restaurants, cafes, trams, luna park etc. Sarah, the owner, was very kind and helpful - thanks for the tip about the Galleon Cafe - loved it! Visits and cuddles with Daisy and Lucy (Sarah's cat and dog) were an unexpected bonus.
Great property for a large family to stay. There is some wear and tear, however, with this, you're not worried about the kids breaking something or messing the place up too much, so it's a nice place for a family to relax. We stayed during winter and there were plenty of heaters to keep the place warm. The games & Xbox kept the kids entertained when we were not out exploring. It's a great location for exploring. The owner was helpful and easy to deal with.
We absolutely loved our time in the apartment. Sarah was a perfect host. We arrived very late on the first night, Sarah sent us photos of the property so we could find it easily in the dark, and left the lights and the heater on for us so we felt very welcomed.
The location is perfect. 4 mins away from the tram stop into town, and about 10ish from the supermarket and Luna Park.
We are a large family (two adults and seven children!) and we had heaps of room to spread ourselves out and not be on top of each other when we were ‘home’ for the evenings.
We hope that Sarah will have us back for our next trip!

Great Location, very quiet and roomy and the property owner was very accessible when we had questions.
Unfortunately the apartment was not very clean, stains on the couches, mold on the ensuite bathroom ceiling ( a health issue for bad asthma sufferer) not sure if the ceiling above the couch also has mold or water stains and the paint is peeling off, bed doona covers weren't put on properly, no sink plug would fit sink, iron broken and looked like it had been dropped as it would not hold water. Oven had to be lit manually as ignition button broken and it was not very clean. Had to buy AAA batteries for the split system remote in the lounge area and it looks like no one has cleaned behind the book shelves in the lounge for quite some time. Noticed this when I went to retrieve a cap. This property has so much potential and just a shame no love has been put back into caring for it.
The accommodation was close to the beach, attractions, shopping and restaurants. It easily accommodated 2 adults and 3 children. I love that there were toys, lego etc for the kids. Happy kids = happy parents. I highly recommend. Host was amazing and super responsive.

About the host
Hosted by Sarah Sanders
Hello my name is Sarah and I live in the downstairs apartment with my two boys - aged 11 and 17. I work three days at Family Safety Victoria where I have responsibility for sexual assault services. Also living in the apartment downstairs are Ruby and Daisy, two cats (sisters) as well as four chickens which free range down the side of the building. We are a busy family, lots of activity so you may see us come and go quite a bit.
Why they chose this property
Hi I am excited to be offering my former home to guests from around the world, as well as from different parts of Australia. I spent many years travelling, and know how important the space in which you stay can be. I have tried to create a stylish, warm, inviting environment, with all the extras you might want when you are away from home. I have lived in St Kilda for over 20 years.
What makes this property unique
One of the best aspects of this property is that it is located in a quiet street, but still right near all the action. Parts of St Kilda can be very busy - which makes it hard to sleep at night if you are staying somewhere near the nightlife, or on a main road. This property is in a leafy pocket right in the heart of St Kilda. The other unique aspect is the size of the apartment - it has a huge living area, and two bathrooms, making it ideal for large groups. We have had many family groupings stay, and it has been really great for different generations of one family to stay together. The trampoline, pool (in summer) and toys (including an awesome lego collection) mean it is really well suited to groups with children.
