The house was lovely and had plenty of warm materials (heated blankets, fireplace, etc.) to make for a cozy stay between hikes around Skye. Would definitely return.
Beautiful area, lovely cottage, access to Portree and Duvegan, along with the sights of northern Skye; southern end of island e.g Cuillin hills a little further but all within easy reach.
Perfectly located spacious cottage on the Isle of Skye
We stayed on the Isle of Skye for a week at 6 Knott which was obsoletely idea for exploring the island. It's located just a 15 minute drive north of Portree (the main town) making it very central and accessible to most areas of interest.
The cottage is located on a very quiet lane with views over the hills and the loch. It has a secure garden which was great for the dog. It is spacious with a kitchen/ dining room, two living rooms, one with a wood burner and one with an open fire, downstairs toilet/ shower room, upstairs bathroom with bath/ shower and 3 bedrooms
We used the wood burner and it made the cottage lovely and cosy.
Its a great place!
Only negative? Hard to figure out how to operate things (heat, appliances). Discussed with owner. VERY receptive to providing more instructions for future guests. A great stay!
