The property was beautiful. Spacious and literally had everything you could need. The kitchen was stocked with all the essential pots, pans, a griddle and then some. Porch is a beautiful place for morning coffee and happy hour in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time at this property! It is large, spacious, has a nice big kitchen and really great views. It is also very close to the Seeley Lake town which has a few restaurants, shops, kayak/canoe rentals and a nice fully-stocked grocery store. Would definitely recommend!

A GREAT WEEK !
Rented the property for our family reunion, had an awesome time. The house was very impressive just where it was located on the highest point of the valley. Saw much wildlife and just enjoyed the "quiet". The owners were very attentive to our needs and I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone considering the Seely Lake Area.

We had a great stay at this home! We were impressed with the quality of the house and the nice touches added by the owners. It was very comfortable. The view from the home is amazing!
The house is secluded, but not too far from town (grocery store, restaurants, and access to hiking trails and activities). We would definitely stay here again!
Thanks for an amazing trip!

The property was perfect for all our family. Secluded in the mountains we had a great view of lake and valley. A short drive to the lake for fun in the sun. The kitchen was awesome and well equipped. The beds extremely comfortable. We did spend most of the time on the deck. Great place to relax.
We can not thank you enough for offering such a wonderfully peaceful retreat. This home was equipped with everything we needed and then some. Large enough for family to gather, kick back and relax. Views are amazing and owner communication was great. It's a hard place to leave...we will be back!!

We had an excellent stay at Dawn and Gene's! The house is a great size and has amazing views. The pictures posted in the listing give a very accurate idea of what the views are like -- truly stunning! The house was very well stocked and we had everything we needed (plenty of cook/dining wear in the kitchen, a well stocked spice cabinet, etc.). The house is up pretty high on the mountain, but the hosts gave us appropriate information about how to access the property and the type of car needed to make it up to the house. Checkin/out was very smooth and easy. Hosts were quick to communicate when needed (which was infrequent as we had no issues and very few questions). Highly recommend!

This house is delightful. Four bedrooms, two on each end of house, gave our family personal space but meant we were all together. Great kitchen...large enough we could all cook together with every appliance, utensil, and spice you could need while on top of the mountain.
Our family of 8 had a wonderful time on the deck, inside the screened porch, eating at the large family table!!
Thank you Dawn and Gene. It was exactly what we needed for our week in Montana!!

We booked our VRBO in March of last year for a family reunion that was ultimately cancelled due to COVID. Our families got together and decided to keep our VRBO's for a much needed vacation. Upon arrival at this beautiful mountain retreat, we knew right away that we'd made the correct choice. The home was well off the beaten path, quiet and serene. The view from the deck was nothing short of spectacular over looking Seeley Lake with the snow capped mountains in the background. The home was well equipped with all the amenities, spacious and neatly kept. Everyday on the way in and out of the property, we saw many types of wild life. Deer, Elk, Eagles to name a few. We even had daily visits of one particular deer and a woodchuck we named Wally! What a wonderful time we had with the only disappointment being we had to depart this wonderful area and home to return to the daily grind. Thank you Dawn and Gene for sharing your home, we look forward to a return visit!

The pictures really don’t do this place justice. My entire family was floored when we pulled up. Location is close to town but also feels incredibly secluded. Amenities abound. The view is to die for.
We just left beautiful 505 Moss Rock RD. The house is absolutely beautiful and the view is breath taking. The floor plan is excellent. Large open living area and then two separated bedroom areas with 2 bedrooms on each side. Best kitchen we’ve ever rented. All the appliance you need Dawn and Gene have. My favorite spot in the early mornings was the large deck—-perfect for a cup of coffee and a time of solitude with God. Dawn communicated quickly to answer any question. We highly recommend this place.

This is a good location for a mountain retreat. Very secluded and private.
I can’t say enough about this VRBO rental property. Property is extremely well-maintained. Beautifully appointed. Kitchen is well stocked with any appliance or utensil you may need. Close to Seeley Lake and other attractions. Homeowners were very accommodating and responsive.

We absolutely loved our stay.. The view from the deck was so beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the sunrise in the early morning and enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. The house was fully stocked and even had toys for the grandkids . This beautiful home did not disappoint nor did the view. Gene and Dawn were very helpful with our stay and always responded to any questions that we had. We hope to come back again!!

This house was great. Everything was clean and the decor was awesome. The view from the porch was great. We even had a Black Bear show up several times. He never came near the house but we could watch him from the deck.
I would highly recommend this home. Communication from the owners was very easy and they kept us up to date with info we needed.

Perfectly Breathtaking
I needed a beautiful and well appointed property to treat my mom and dad to a luxurious night's stay when they came out from Oregon to bring me my son for a visit...this property exceeded my every expectation. The house itself is pristine, with a with a wonderful chefs kitchen, gorgeous dining and great rooms, and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. But the highlight of course is the views...Simply spectacular. We spent the late evening and well into the night sitting in the screened in porch, savoring the incredible panoramas and enjoying echothers company. The owners of the property were great to work with, very accommodating and responsive. The whole experience was really a joy! We will be back!

About the host
Hosted by Dawn and Gene Ritch
My husband is a 6th generation Texan and I hail from the land of 10K lakes... Minnesota. Our favorite times are spent in the great outdoors; fishing, hunting, hiking, etc. We have made every effort to make sure that you enjoy our place and this remarkable area as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
The first time we rounded the bend on 83N near Salmon Lake and saw this amazing valley, we were hooked. After a lengthy search, we found our little piece of Montana heaven :)
What makes this property unique
*The entertainment-friendly floor plan invites guests to gather in the open living/dining/kitchen area with tile floors, a sunken living room, large dining room and breakfast bar. *The large, chef's kitchen has everything a guest would need for a quick weekend get away or a lengthy stay. *In the evenings, guests retreat to opposite ends of the house, with two bedrooms and a bath on one end of the house, and a master retreat and second bedroom on the other, providing ultimate privacy. *Unlike many property rentals, where they crowd too many beds to a room; this home features 4 spacious bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and luxurious linens. *Only 5 miles from the resort town of Seeley Lake, the area's rivers, lakes, trails and wilderness are calling! Seeley Lake is a hub of activity during the summer, with multiple restaurants, shops and local festivals. * For the thrill-seeker, you can rent boats, jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, and ATV's from a local outfitter. The popular Canoe Trail is located on the north end of Seeley Lake. A few miles south of town are both Salmon Lake and Placid Lake State Parks, as well as the Clearwater Game Range. Public lands surround the town in all directions, waiting to be explored. And Seeley Lake is just 130 miles from Glacier National Park - a must-see for vacationers.
