Newly-updated Camp Q on Placid Lake, Sleeps 6, Private Dock
Welcome to Camp Q on Placid Lake! Camp Q is fondly named after the Spanish term "querencia". Querencia refers to the place where you are your most authentic self, from where your strength is drawn, where you feel at home. You won't have any trouble feeling at home in the newly-remodeled Camp Q, on the banks of Placid Lake! Lake living meets modern spaces! Step inside and you will fall in love with the cabin and the western views of the lake! Barn wood, metal and repurposed materials make the open space feel cozy. The heart of the cabin is the open kitchen-dining-living room with vaulted ceilings and ample windows. It's the perfect space to gather and take in the sweeping views of Placid Lake. A large deck, which runs the length of the cabin, provides space for outdoor eating, as well as a BBQ. The new addition has two, private queen bedrooms. A semi-private bunk room can be found on the far end of the house and is separated from the main room by a half bath and large pantry. A full bath and laundry area are just off the main room. The kitchen has all of the conveniences of home. Just a few miles from snowmobile trails and an extensive Nordic Ski trail system in Seeley Lake. Use the dock to access your boat, swim, or take advantage of the owner's kayaks. There's no shortage of fun for the entire family! Please note that RV and tent camping are strictly prohibited.

We had a great family getaway and enjoyed using the kayaks and swimming off the docks. Loved how clean and beautiful the cabin was.
We will be booking again for future vacations
We had a lovely visit. The redesigned space is beautifully done, and we appreciated the access to they kayaks and other amenities. I look forward to returning for another dreamy stay.

We had a relaxing mother-daughter weekend. Enjoyed drinking coffee on the dock and kayaking around the lake. The cabin was gorgeous and we loved the view.
The house is beautiful, the view is amazing and the host is very responsive. The kitchen has all you need, pots, pans, cookie sheet etc. We had a wonderful weekend of crazy cribbage, games and laughter.

This was the 3rd time we have stayed here, it never disappoints. The views and sunsets are so beautiful from the cabin and dock. It’s always been a very easy check in process and clean cabin. We have created some of our best memories here, cannot wait to go again!!

Loved the place, but we never did find a lockbox to enter the code into. Luckily, a door was open, so it all worked out. Thanks!

Susanna,
So glad you loved the cabin. The lock-box can be a little tricky as we have to keep it out of the weather. Hope you get to come back!

TY Carrie so much for everything. The setting and accommodations at the property are amazing. So much less water traffic then the other local lakes made this a very peaceful setting. We've already saved it in our favorites list.

Thanks,

The Point Place cabin was an overall great little spot, especially for those looking for a quiet, peaceful vacation. Property was perfectly located and lake access was steps away. Beds and linens were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with more amenities than we expected! Overall the cabin itself was perfect for what we were wanting and we would love to come back. The downside? Within a few hours after check-in we accidentally locked ourselves out of the cabin. We promptly called the property manager and left a message explaining what had happened and asked for a call back to direct us to a hide-a-key or for someone to come let us back in. After not hearing from anyone, we started to get nervous and began searching the exterior of the property on our own. An hour later and by some miracle we stumbled upon a hidden key. We consider ourselves incredibly lucky as it was definitely not an obvious location. The property manager NEVER called us back that night nor any of the days following. For how wonderful the cabin is, in my opinion, there should always be someone on-call to deal with unplanned emergencies. It all worked out for our group but that might not be the case if it happened to others.

Niki,
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry about the unfortunate lock-out incident. I'm glad we were able to speak and the matter resolved. Unexpected issues can be frustrating but we're glad it didn't ruin your trip. We do hope you'll be back to give us another chance.

Great location right lakeside! Cabin was exactly how it was pictured and described. Check-in was a breeze. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. We had such a great time that we are already thinking about our next adventure up there.

The cabin is just about 10 feet back from the water so you feel like you are right on the lake. Breathtaking views of Placid lake and very private setting. Beds were both very comfortable and the place was clean and had what we needed. We enjoyed the woodstove fireplace as it is late in the season and it got down to 30 in the mornings! Thankfully it was well stocked with firewood so we were able to keep the place cozy all weekend. Thanks for the opportunity to rent the place!
Adorable cabin with a million dollar view. Easy to find...just follow directions! Comfortable beds. Clean with plenty of linens. Excellent selection of lake toys. Two additions would be great: small bedside lamps (maybe ones that clip to headboards) and steak knives.

Karri,
So glad you enjoyed our place. Thank you for the great suggestions!

Absolutely no complaints from our crew. The rental came equipped with enough kayaks and life jackets for all of us. We loved everything about our stay.
The cabin property and neighborhood are perfect. The lake was warm and beautiful. The cabin had lots of amenities and was in this forest area that had lots of trees, stumps, bugs, sticks and beauty that only nature can create. We swam every day and had a fire every night in the very nice fire pit. It was a piece of heaven.

Linda,
Thanks for staying with us. There is a swim beach across the bay at the state park, as well as at a few of our other area lakes. I wish we had known what you were looking for so we could send you in the right direction. Hopefully we'll see you back!

The space is small, but everything in it is perfectly designed for comfort and ease of use, and you’ll want to spend all your time outside anyway, because the location on Placid Lake couldn’t be better. Would love to come back next summer!

Lila,
The western views are great! Glad you enjoyed our cabin.

The best things about this rental are the location, the beautiful view from the deck, the kayaks, the access to the lake, the dock, and the comfy beds. The only bad thing is that your kids will cry when it is time to leave because they had so much fun.
We had an amazing and relaxing time in Placid Lake. The info book in the house had tons of great ideas for activities in the area, but we ended up never leaving the property! We kayaked (so nice that there were life jackets and in youth sizes too!), swam, fished, and sunbathed every day, and we never felt the need to go anywhere else.
Make sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash, as these were not provided. Everything else we needed was supplied. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
