Around Wray and in the wider Forest of Bowland there are many wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, close by are the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks and Whitescar Caves. There are also good road and rail links into Cumbria and beyond, giving access to the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Lancaster retains many excellent examples of Georgian architecture, with its captivating medieval castle, and many museums. There are two venues for live performances, the Lancaster Grand Theatre and the Dukes, as well as open-air concerts held frequently in the pretty Williamson Park during the summer season.
