About this property

Pearl house with fairytale shelter by the shore

Surrounded by forest, water and the beautiful white sandy beaches of Sejerøbugten Bay, lies a fantastic gem. Here you are embraced by large trees, shrubs and a wild natural plot, which together create a completely undisturbed and peaceful holiday home life.

The family has created the cottage for peace and relaxation as a contrast to the hectic city life, which is reflected in the materials and interior design. There are calm, light-colored wooden surfaces and concrete floors, as well as a decor that is characterized by nature and minimalism. The heart of the cottage is the great room with no less than 4.5 meter ceilings, where one entire wall is covered with large glass panels and patio doors facing the wild garden and drawing nature inside. Here you can eat your meals at the large long table while listening to music on the record player, playing games and reading books in the armchair. There's also a large, open loft where you can retreat and relax. The house has three bedrooms, each with a double bed. One bedroom faces the wild garden, where you can open the doors completely and enjoy the nature that starts at the end of the bed. The other two bedrooms focus on cozy details with soft textiles, books and flowers galore. The original part of the house now includes a large, open kitchen where you can cook together, as well as a sofa floater where you can watch a lot of movies.

If you're looking for an enchanting outdoor life, the house offers a large, cozy and fully equipped shelter. Here you can drink your morning coffee in the morning sun, read books and relax when you need shade or some peace and quiet. In the evening you can cook over the fire and sleep under the open sky. In addition, the house also offers a lovely outdoor bath in connection with the bathroom, where you can bathe under the large trees to the sound of birdsong.

If you need to break the silence, Sejerøbugten's lovely beach is not far away, where you can take a dip, enjoy the sun-warmed sand or go for a walk and enjoy the sunset. You can also take a walk in the quiet calm of the forest or head to the resort town of Rørvig, where you can catch crabs, have a delicious lunch or an ice cream.

We felt incredibly at home in this beautiful vacation home from the very first moment. It’s one of those places where, once you arrive, you really don’t want to leave. We especially loved the architecture: the many large windows make the house wonderfully bright and make the garden feel like an extension of the house. At the same time, everything is decorated very tastefully, comfortably, and with great attention to detail. The garden is also beautiful—lots of greenery, tall trees, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The trampoline was, of course, a highlight, and we loved the outdoor shower in the garden. A really great idea and simply wonderful in the summer! We didn’t lack for anything in the kitchen either. It has everything you need—plenty of cookware, dishes, and many items that are sometimes missing in vacation homes. And last but not least, Martine played a big part in making us feel so welcome. She’s incredibly kind, warm, and helpful, and was always there for us whenever we had questions. We had a truly wonderful time here and would have loved to stay even longer. It’s a very special place that we look back on fondly—and definitely a vacation home we’d return to. ❤️
