Positive things:
- Nice location in a small mountain village but still within 10 minutes range of the seaside.
- Well equipped kitchen.
Negative things:
- No WiFi and at times poor mobile data coverage. WiFi should be standard for a rental apartment in 2026.
- No A/C or fan, it gets really hot in the apartment in summer.
- No sun protection on the otherwise very nice balcony: this makes it unusable during daytime in summer.
- Poor maintenance: broken lightbulbs and tap handles, building materials (a box of tiles) block the way on the balcony.
- The cleaning fee of 100 Euros (plus the ridiculously high extra fee of 80 Euros for extra cleaning when staying with a dog) seem out of proportion for such a small apartment.
- There was no way of trash disposal. The place indicated in the house instructions (which was already 3 km away) was permanently closed. The owner/house management firm was unable to help and find a solution during our 10 days stay, which forced us to use an array of tricks to dispose of our trash elsewhere (we didn’t dump it on the street or in the environment, don’t worry). From the neighboring houses, the trash appeared to be collected from the street daily or every other day, so it is unclear why this could not be established for the apartment, too.
