Beautiful and Spacious Private Pool Home in "The Shire" Gated Community. Perfect for a family vacation, a business trip or a relaxing couples getaway. Close to Disney and Universal theme parks. Champions Gate is nearby and offers plenty of charming restaurants, shops and golfing. Relax by the heated pool or take a dip in the hot tub spa. Need to get some work done? No worries - this home provides free wifi as well as an office nook equipped with a printer and scanner for your convenience. The Shire now has new Flat Screen TVs in most rooms, and a separate living and family room - perfect for a multi family vacation. We have also added a BBQ Grill for your convenience. Everything you could want under one roof.

Nearby Clubhouse features a gym, ping pong table, tennis courts, sand volleyball, media area and a large community pool.

(Pool heat is an additional $20 per day to offset energy bill costs. Please let us know at the time of booking if you are requesting pool heat. Pool heat is for the entire length of stay. At least 48 hours notice required to warm pool prior to arrival.)

Monica is an excellent host. She was quick to respond for any questions or concerns. The home is beautiful and clean. We’ve been to others that haven’t been as clean. Very comfortable layout and plenty of space. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Location was excellent for our day trips to Disney, Lakeland Spring training and much more. We sure enjoyed our 10-day stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The host was very prompt and easy to communicate with. The house was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group. The kids absolutely loved the pool! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and plenty of dishes, which made meal prep easy. The location was ideal — close to Disney and just a short drive to the beaches. Highly recommend!

Everything was as stated. Monica stayed in touch to be sure things were going well after our arrival and the night before we left. Of the homes we have stayed at this was our favorite. We paid for heated pool and the last night we were there it was in the 50s but my granddaughters played in the pool all evening.

We enjoyed the home. The owner was very accommodating and checked in on us through text message. I only needed to reach out to her once on the day of arrival, she quickly replied. This property was an ideal location for our get away. It was close enough to everything that we wanted to see and do yet quiet and secluded. "The Shire" was a wonderful home away from home for our 10 day Florida family vacation during March 2024. The home was spacious, comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. Family tile at the Shire

Awesome property. My family had a great time and enjoyed the house. Pool and hot tub was wonderful and very relaxing. Communication with Monica was easy as we forgot a few things at the house and she was wonderful in helping us to get our items back. I hope we can stay here when we visit Florida again next year.

She and her family (parents, brother and husband) saved their pennies to buy this beautiful vacation home to escape the subzero Chicago winters. While new to HomeAway, Monica is a former Disney cast member - so hospitality is in her blood. She has also been a landlord for almost 10 years. She loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Batman, swimming, roller coasters and good ole fashioned game nights! She hopes you will enjoy staying at the Shire as much as she does.

Why they chose this property

We loved how spacious, relaxing and convenient this property was. The pool is very private and has a gorgeous view of a wooded conservation area. Complex tennis and volleyball courts are just down the block and the gated community provides a quiet escape with close proximity to the local theme parks - about 20 minutes to Disney.
