Originally built in 1873, with an extensive remodel and addition completed in early 2000's, this property is located just a short walk from Georgetown's historic town center and all the beauty the old mining town has to offer. Ideal location for those looking for a relaxing getaway in an historic town, while offering a central location between Colorado's many jaw-dropping locales. Find yourself midway between Denver and Vail, with Red Rocks and Breckenridge in between. Or, locally, just a stone's throw from Loveland Ski Area, Guanella Pass and the famous Georgetown Loop Railroad. Year round, Georgetown is an ideal location to exploit all of what Colorado has to offer.
Property amenities: Master Suite with jetted tub, double headed shower, gas fireplace and a romantic deck for two with views of the continental divide. A Bunkhouse room dedicated to kids, containing bean bags , video games and bunk beds for three. "Yellow Room" with Queen bed and sitting area. This house was absolutely charming and we loved it. Only a block or so to historic downtown shops and restaurants, and super close to loveland ski area. Everything was super well stocked. Would definitely stay again.
Great house with excellent views of the mountains to the north. Clean and well cared for. Lots of towels and other supplies. Owner was very communicative.
The house is beautiful and has a ton of character. Its location is perfect and in a beautiful little town. We skied in Loveland and it only took us 15-20 minutes from the house! We were also blown away by how much equipment and how modern the kitchen and certain parts of the house were. It was a perfect balance between charm and functionality - would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area again
Beautiful home full of history and Georgetown charm. The home had everything you will possible need. I'll be looking forward to some future stays. Thank you!
The house was beautiful! The rooms were decorated in period decor and spotless. The classic updated kitchen was beautiful. It was a perfect place for a women’s retreat.
We had such a great experience and loved our rental! Thank you for working with us and answering our questions throughout our stay. Our family rented this property in the past - and I am certain we will again!
We had a great stay. The King bed and large kitchen were great amenities. The distance to the local Trail Head was amazing and convenient to all restaurants. Charming town that I hope grows and grows.
Thank you Karen for another lovely stay in your beautiful home. You always make it so warm and inviting for all of us. Even the youngest begins the countdown in November for when we will be staying in the “purple house” in Georgetown. After these years of memories I’m sure it will be a memory each of my three grandchildren will pass on to their children one day.We are already looking forward to next year. Many blessings to you in the New Year!
Very nice truly historic building in a great shape and a perfect location
