About this property
Saxon Mountain Condo sleeps 8: steps to Georgetown Lake and fishing:pet friendly
The Saxon Mountain Condo, which sleeps 8 with 2 full bathrooms, is a great space for your next visit to beautiful Georgetown, CO. Pet-friendly for small, well behaved dogs with required pet fees: $200 per pet. You must request permission prior to booking if bringing your furry family. The condo is centrally located close to metro Denver & the airport while being in the heart of the Rocky Mountains with easy access to Loveland Ski Area, Breckenridge, Winter Park, and Vail. We're sure you'll enjoy being in the heart of the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the quaint historic village of Georgetown. Shops, museums, and restaurants are a short walk away or stick to the Lake Area and walk to the new Brewery and Restaurant across the lake. Hiking and mt. biking trails are plentiful & the Georgetown Lake and Clear Creek are just steps out the condo front door. There are a number of museums and historical sites we recommend you don't miss while visiting such as the Hamill House, Alpine Hose, and Hotel de Paris museums. Be sure to stop into the Visitor Center for maps, trail & weather information, and cultural opportunities in town.
First and second bedrooms feature queen sized beds and the loft has 2 twin-sized bunk beds, so bring the whole family! 2 full baths will help you avoid the morning rush to the slopes or the trails. Why pay more for a hotel room when you can have privacy, laundry on-site, a kitchen to cook some hearty meals, and comfy furniture to relax in after a long day on the mountain or touring the Rockies? This family-friendly condo is sure to suit your needs! You'll have access to the whole condo plus the grounds and laundry facility. 1 parking space is provided in the 'U' with a parking pass. Your furry family is welcome with the paid pet fee (we provide a small crate) but you must FIRST ASK PERMISSION prior to booking.
The small Rocky Mountain village of Georgetown is located in a National Historic Landmark District. We are just 13 short miles from Loveland Ski Area, within an hour's drive of 8 other world-class ski resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge & Keystone, and are basecamp to the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway. Hiking and biking trails abound during the warmer months and bike and ski rentals are available right in town or at Loveland Ski Area to the west. The Georgetown Lake is great fun for fishing (or ice fishing), canoeing, or strolling. Visiting in spring? Why not try rafting the Clear Creek with friendly raft companies & guides- you'll love the thrill! Whether you prefer high-level activities like ice climbing, mt. biking, hucking off that cornice, or scaling the tippy-top of that 14er or a more tame experience such as walking our historic sandstone sidewalks & shopping, enjoying lunch at the Cooper’s on the Creek before an auto tour up the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, you'll find many ways to fill your Georgetown days!
If skiing, biking, rafting or hiking aren't your cup of tea, you'll enjoy simply strolling the tree-lined streets of the residential and commercial district of Historic Georgetown. We are a National Historic Landmark District with a ton of history to share with you! Check out one of Georgetown's four museums or catch a class or concert at the Heritage Center in our beautifully restored 1874 school house. There are plenty of wonderful shops and restaurants here in Georgetown to check out as well... or take a scenic ride on our famous narrow-gauge steam train at the Georgetown Railroad Loop Railroad.
