Enjoy the beautiful seascapes, surrounding islands and lovely Hawaiian skies above meticulous, palm-lined grounds. Winter whale season from approximately the end of Nov to mid April. Catch the occasional view of resident turtles from the lanai. The peace within may entice you to re-think your plans to leave!!

This unit has all the amenities suited to facilitate a very comfortable and enjoyable Maui holiday on the Valley Isle. Shared washer/dryer. Rental comes with one free, assigned parking stall. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, and a queen sleeper sofa is in the living room. Gentle tradewinds, nature's "Air Conditioning", brings in cool air from the West Maui mountains.

Maalaea Small Boat Harbor and Shops are a short walk from the unit. Explore the stores and shops at the harbor, enjoy a charter boat trip, and maybe dine at one of the area restaurants. Aside from the harbor, shops and restaurants, you will find a water park with miniature golf, water bumper boats, and a rock-climbing wall within walking distance.

The Maui Ocean Center (Hawaii's only saltwater aquarium) is located at Maalaea Small Boat Harbor. A delightful way to spend the morning or afternoon with friends and family learning about Hawaii’s marine life. For those quiet times, take a long walk down a sandy beach that stretches for miles.

Fantastic View

The condo has a direct oceanfront location with a fantastic view. You can watch the sea turtles right from your balcony. Location was perfect and the grounds were very nice. The condo is older and could use updating but it was fine and really it is all about the oceanfront balcony- you won’t spend much time in the rest of the condo! Highly recommended!

Great location in a quite place

Cannot beat the view and wake up to the sound of waves hitting the shore. In a good pocket of Maui where everything is somewhat close. Great place to come and relax.

Very comfortable stay

This property was perfect for my visit to Maui. I had stayed at this property back in January 2023 and was very happy to be able to stay once again. The condos location makes it convenient for activities. The gentleman in charge of maintaining the everyday maintenance of the complex worked hard to ensure the grounds were clean and accessible. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

This was an excellent mid island. Location with 10 to 20 minute access anywhere. The best location for viewing whales and turtles right offshore of the condo. Loved the tradewinds to keep things cool. We will definitely return to Ma’Alaea Kai

Quiet and quaint

We love Maalaea Bay and have stayed next door at Milowai several times but we actually liked Maalaea Kai even better! Great view from the lanai. Watching the cute sea turtles 🐢 from the grounds and the lanai is so much fun. The pool is awesome! And grilling out by the ocean is incredible. We'll be back!!!

Breathtaking views!

The proprty is located in such a special place. Quiet, clean, centrally located and beautiful. Immaculate grounds and lovely people, welcoming to vacationers. Short walk to the peaceful beach. The beach is never crowded. Whale watched from the lanai daily die to the time of year we stayed. Great ammenities available in the condo for both staying in and for daily excursions (chairs, ice chest, umbrellas). Will stay here again!

Maalea condo

This condo has pros & cons. Pro - amazing view, location. Super clean. Con- everything is basic and i don't think anything has been upgraded in years. No wine glasses, pans we're super beat up, couch is very uncomfortable. I'd only stay in this complex again, but not this condo unit.

Great condo

This condo was as described. It had a comfortable bed and everything you might need for a beach vacation. The location was great for driving to all locations in the island. One thing to be sure to notice is that there is no air conditioning which is listed in the description , I just didn’t realize. There are great cross breezes, though and some fans to help if it gets warm. The evenings were comfortable but it got a bit warm during the day. We were gone most of that time so it didn’t matter. You cannot swim here, but there are nice beaches all over. The setting is beautiful.

The best sunrises!

Beautiful view and property! The sunrises were stunning! The grounds are very well maintained and enjoyed seeing sea turtles and whales most every day. Condo location a hidden gem as very central to most Maui activities. Chelsea very helpful and responsive. The condo is very worn, but not a concern for us. However, if there are no winds it becomes very hot and stuffy. The kitchen is quite small. No sharp knives which was frustrating. Only 3 beach towels, and occupancy for 4. Overall, a very nice vacation and would definitely stay at same complex but at a nicer unit. Nothing better than the sunrises!

Nice unit, great view

I have stayed in many 1 bedroom condos in Maalaea and this one wins the award for best view. Seeing whales first thing in the morning was not an unusual event. It is nicely furnished and decorated. The bathroom and shower are better than most. The unit does not have air conditioning which normally I do not care about. The one negative to this condo is the lack of airflow. The winds in Maalaea are brisk to say the least and flow from mauka towards makai. This unit has no screen door on the entrance so that is not an option. The bedroom windows have heavy curtains, unlike most of the units that have shutters. That means you have to choose between airflow and privacy, you cannot have both. Installation of shutters where you could vent the winds but still have privacy would be a big improvement. Other than that this is a lovely unit.

80 degrees indoors at night

This place did not have a thermostat. It was incredibly hot, and there was no way to change the temperature. The best you could do is open the screen door in the window, but then the drapes on the window would blow open and there would be no privacy. This place is the reason I hate Vrbo. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and go stay at a hotel on a beach and enjoy Hawaii.

It's nice to be away from the crowds you find at the large resorts. Unit was clean and we like renting through Hawaii Life Real Estate. We pretty much stayed on Pacific Time so that we could be up every morning to watch the sunrise from here. A great place to see them. It's also relaxing to sit on your lanai deck or down on the grounds and watch the boats go in and out of Maalaea harbor. We will definitely rent this unit again on any future visits we have to Maui. Gret central location - Drive to Kihea or Lahania is about same distance. Only a 10 minute drive from the airport

It is in a quiet place but not too far from Kihei or Lahaina, so you can easily drive to those places if you want to. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. It had a fully equipped kitchen and even some beach supplies so we could walk to the nearby local beach. I love that it's walking distance to the Ocean Center and the Harbor. No A/C, but if you open up all the windows you can get good airflow. Overall, I will be coming back to stay at this condo again! I also recommend working with the concierge, Matt, at Hawaii Life. He helped us book a fishing tour and a Luau and they were both so fun! He made the process really easy for us!

Beautiful property!

We loved our stay here! It was our first time in Maui so we wanted a central location so we could explore the whole island and this was great for it! The condo itself was clean, had everything we needed and the view was nothing short of amazing! There were always turtles swimming around which never gets old! We also saw some spotted eagle rays right off the property as well! We had an ocean breeze throughout all day and all night. I was worried about not having A/C but even on hot days we never felt uncomfortable and I slept with an extra blanket most nights! The location is great and walkable to the marina where many cruises take off from and there are some restaurants walking distance too which was great! Lahaina was about 25 minutes ($40ish Uber ride) and Kihei was about 15 minutes ($25ish Uber ride). When we arrived we realized there was only one beach chair so I texted Chelsea and she brought 2 more over for us the next day. She was always very responsive- I even left my air pods there and she asked the cleaners to be on the lookout and they actually found them and are being sent home to me! We also ended up staying an extra night because we didn’t want to leave! Great experience and we will definitely return!

The perfect getaway

I am not exaggerating when I say that this place was literally perfect! (of course, that’s my opinion) This condo is located walking distance from the Ma’alaea Harbor, about 15 minutes driving distance to Kihei, about 20 minutes driving distance to Lahaina and about 15 minutes from the airport. To me it’s in an area that’s not particularly busy, so it’s away from the “crowds”, and if that’s the kind of vacation you’re looking for then you must stay here! The condo has everything you need to have a great vacation: beach going supplies (chairs, boogie boards, noodles, towels), fully stocked kitchen, a small selection of spices for cooking (there were even some condiments left from the people who stayed here before us), a comfortable bed, and the best view from the patio! It was very clean and just made us feel relaxed and comfortable right away! It’s very close to a small shopping center near the harbor, which has little shops, the Maui Ocean Center and the best bar called Beach Bums (good happy hour deals)! It also is about .5 miles away from a small local beach called Haycraft Park. Not many people go there so you almost feel like you have your own private beach or that you’re a local! Honestly, I will never go anywhere else when I travel back to Maui! Just be warned that there is no A/C in this unit, but if you open all the window the trade winds flow right through the entire condo, so that makes up for it. Highly recommended!!!
