Looking for a peaceful retreat in stunning Sedona / Oak Creek Canyon? We have the perfect cabin home for you - Bear Howard Cabin! We are located in the highly desirable Pine Flats neighborhood, off of historic and scenic Route 89A (one of the most beautiful drives in Arizona).

This lovely three bedroom, two bath cabin has all the charm of a dreamy and magical Sedona/Red Rock vacation get-a-way! Hike in the mornings, shop in the afternoons and relax and dine in the evenings! Your choices are nearly unlimited. We are the perfect cabin to begin all of your Red Rock adventures.

The cabin is located in a small housing development surrounded by a lush, cool, green conifer forest and oak trees, right off of Oak Creek itself. We are halfway between Flagstaff and Sedona - just a short drive north, and you’re in Flagstaff, and nearly the same driving distance south and you’re in Sedona proper.

We are also located near the famous West Fork Trail, one of the most scenic and popular hikes in the area! We are also not too far from Slide Rock State Park, a regional favorite for cooling off in the Summer and one of the most stunning natural settings around.

A short, casual walk down the drive brings you to our private Oak Creek access for fishing, swimming, wading and other types of creek discoveries!

This cabin is a perfect getaway spot and offers a recently renovated and fully stocked kitchen - all new appliances, cabinets and cookware - for those days and nights when you want to enjoy a quiet meal at home. There is also a propane grill on the upper deck, and a variety of outdoor furniture for relaxing.

We have a spacious, welcoming living area downstairs, with a wood stove that provides warmth in the colder months and added Sedona ambience (central heating and air conditioning for your seasonal comfort available as well). The dining area seats eight comfortably and is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with your family, a friendly game of cards, a spot to do a jigsaw puzzle, or even sneak in a few work emails, if absolutely necessary. We offer limited Internet at our cabin (not always an easy feat to accomplish in the Canyon) for those times when you are not outside enjoying all Sedona has to offer.

We have three comfortable bedrooms: two with queen-sized beds downstairs, and a large, private master bedroom on the second floor with king bed and a cozy, private sitting area.

There is another gathering spot on the second floor loft area with comfy couches, a large TV, and a selection of DVDs for family entertainment. You'll also find board games and puzzles for more family fun.

There are two large decks surrounding the home for enjoying a peaceful afternoon reading and observing forest life.

This is a quirky fishing cabin but the kitchen was fully updated. The bathrooms were not, but it was the best shower water pressure! Don’t change a thing! We enjoyed dipping our tired feet in the creek after a long hike and sitting on the porch. The temperature is at least 10 degrees cooler than Sedona. That was a plus!

Pine Flatts Cabin

The stay was great. The Pine Flatts community is a wonderful place to have a relaxing time in the trees by the creek. The 200 ft tall Ponderosa Pines are beautiful.

Cabin in the Canyon

Spent 2 nights in Sedona to kick off Spring Break. Cabin was perfect! Updated kitchen, wood burning stove heats up house fast, great water pressure in showers, comfy beds, big movie and game selection. The cabin felt remote but only 10 min away from Slide Rock and not far from Uptown Sedona.

Beautiful time at Bear Howard Cabin

We were lucky to stay at Bear Howard cabin for a special family event. The cabin is spacious and thoughtfully appointed and was perfect for our group of five. Beds are very comfortable, the house is well stocked, and the property is clean and organized inside and out. The location is stunning and Oak Creek Canyon is the perfect place for a wonderful and relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back. Thank you Sam and Susan for making our weekend perfect.

Our stay at this Sedona cabin was everything we hoped for and more. The location in the canyon was absolutely stunning! peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to escape the Arizona heat. We took daily hikes right from the property and were constantly in awe of the natural beauty surrounding us.The cabin itself was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the patio. It quickly became our favorite spot for family meals, morning coffee, and evenings of unwinding and enjoying the fresh air.If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway with easy access to Sedona's amazing trails and landscapes, this place is a fantastic choice. We are avid hikers and cyclists and we love the Sedona area. After visiting for many years, we decided to purchase a home on Oak Creek. It took about 2 years before we settled on Bear Howard Cabin. We hope you enjoy the cabin and the area as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We love the coolness of the pines and the peaceful sounds of Oak Creek. Bear Howard Cabin is at about 5,600 ft in elevation. Summers in the canyon are cooler than in Sedona proper. The cabin has great proximity to both Sedona and Flagstaff. Come relax and cool off in the woods!
