Beautiful Lakeside Retreat on the Great Sacandaga Lake

Ideal for families looking for a relaxing place to create new memories. This 'Sacandaga Sanctuary' is a beautiful, peaceful place to unwind, connect with nature and have a lot of fun!

Direct Lakeside, Private Sandy Beach, 52' Dock (newly extended spring 2026), Mooring, Gradual Grade with Unbeatable View! Bring your own boat or rent one.

Located in Mayfield, on the south-west end of the lake, close to marinas and launch sites. Close to boat-in restaurants on the lake.

Available on a 3-night basis off-season ($1350/night) OR on a monthly basis as a Mid-Term monthly rental (6-7 months) ($10,500/month). End of June until beginning of September, available on a 7 night minimum basis (Saturday to Saturday) ($1550/night)

This is a pet friendly home. Please inquire whether your 'other family member(s)' of the furry, canine variety, meet the criteria. Two max and No additional pet fees.

New 2026: Early check in at 2:30 pm (check out at 10:00 am)

Description:

Plenty of space in this 3,431 SF home (12 people max.) to create lasting memories.

Gorgeous sunrises and lazy summer days, the lake is your playground for boating, tubing, kayaking, swimming, etc. (Kayaks, SUP, paddle boat available. We even have sunfish sailboats for those who can demonstrate competency). Floating swim platform in addition to the dock. Please inquire if interested in renting a pontoon boat. As summer progresses, lake levels recede and beach area becomes larger (sand and some stone). 8'x8' shaded platform to sit by the beach with a few steps for easy, safe access. Bonfire pit by shore for those magical evenings under the stars.

Beautiful stone patio with outdoor hot tub for 8, gas fire pit, sun beds, cocktail table, outdoor shower (new in 2026) & Adirondack chairs.

Are you the adventurous type? Try sleeping outside under the canopy of stars on a warm summer night! (Easy to set up).

Never a dull moment with bar (lights up), poker table, dart board, tournament sized pool table, 100" projector and screen with HD movies... (Apple TV, Netflix, etc.), ping pong in garage. Sonos speakers. New for 2026, easy to set up volleyball / badminton net & birdies and lawn games, including corn hole. Spacious yard, partially fenced. New for 2026, electric dog door leading to fenced in area.

New large composite deck with extendable table for 10, large day bed, hanging pod chair and grill.

Sleeping options:

- Stay in the fully insulated and heated / cooled cottage with a short queen and twin sleeper sofa for a more private experience (no running water / bathroom).
- Full size bed in tree fort. New in 2026: finished interior, lights and power for charging electronics. A/C upon request. (No running water / bathroom)
- 3 queen beds and one California King in the 4 bedrooms Plus:
- Custom built boat bed (1 adult) made from an actual row boat
- 4 additional Full size comfortable memory foam mattresses paired with rollaway frames, if desired. Pls inquire.

Enough beds/floor mattresses for 12 people to have their own beds, some in shared spaces.

Fully stocked and turn-key. New toaster oven / air fryer and larger stainless steel pots / pans.

Environmentally conscientious owner with solar panels - stay cool in summer with A/C and warm in winter with wood stoves and electric heat (powered, in part, by the sun).

Clean, healthy (untreated, great tasting) well-water filtered with new high-end UV light system.

No extra charge for cleaning and dogs.

Plenty of hiking, biking, skiing, etc. close by.

Only 45 minute drive to world-renowned Saratoga Springs (spas, shopping and dining, etc.) and Equidistant to Canada, Boston, NYC.

Upon booking, guests will receive emails with House Rules, Manual, and Liability Waiver. Guests will have 3 day period of rescission, during which time they can receive a full refund. By keeping their booking beyond this 3 day period, guests are inherently agreeing to all terms. Please inquire about our cancellation and partial refund policy. It is not as stated on this platform. All guest 18 years or older, must sign our Liability Waiver.

House is not to be rented for the purpose of ‘partying’. Guests violating this rule may be charged their full security deposit, even when there’s no damage.

Should there be damage, and/or complaints filed by neighbors, you'll be charged up to $1,500. Claims in excess, would be handled separately.

Convenient lakefront home

Our family vacation was all I expected and then some. Our hostess was amazing. The home was perfectly situation with every amenity at our fingertips. We were able to bring in our boat, use the paddle boat and available kayak, as well as an amazing hot tub. It was a fabulous vacation for three generations of my family!

Lovely Lake Home

Amazing home on the lake. Whole family enjoyed our stay. Easy check in and check out, thoughtful design and decor. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms with heated floors. Large kitchen and the amenities were as described. Snowed while we were there and the views were amazing. Freshly fallen snow, mug of hot chocolate with the view of the lake from the floor to ceiling windows, will be a great memory to look back on over the years.

Home away from home

Loved the home and enjoyed the access to the water,that was key. It was so important to have a place we had space to have some time alone but also we had several places that we could gather together., which was so important to me.We loved the deck where we eat most of our meals ,we enjoyed the projector TV where we all could watch a late night movie . We also loved playing pool and darts. It truly was a very comfortable place to gather.We loved having the kayaks, the volleyball net , the fire pit and the super host Ahne was able to make are stay not only special but accommodated us with any of our needs! Beautiful getaway on Lake Sacadanga

We rented Ahne's beautiful home for a few days getaway and couldn't be more satisfied. It had all the amenities and little touches you could ask for. Games, hot tub, fully stocked, lake front access, water sport toys - we had an incredible stay. Ahne is also a very kind and responsive host who looks out for the quality of your stay. We would definitely love to come back again and recommend this house to anyone else. One of the best places we've stayed in our VRBO adventures.

Fantastic Lake Vacation & Amazing House

Impeccably maintained home, on a great lot overlooking the Sacandaga and Beacon Island. The home comes with everything you need. We didn't need to bring much other than our swimsuits. We rented a boat and made use of the mooring buoy that came with the home. Excellent communication with the owner that lives in the region, and was available at any time. Don't hesitate to book!

My family had a great vacation here! Ahne was very responsive, the house was beautiful, well-stocked, and had plenty of entertainment for the rainy days as well as the beautiful ones. We hope to stay here again in the future! Thank you, Ahne, for the hospitality! One note for other guests is that there are a lot of single/double steps around the house. My dad uses a walker so needed a hand here and there, but he managed ok.

Perfect family vacation

We had an amazing time at this beautiful property. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived, and the property manager available and easy to contact. The view of the water was incredible. We had so much to do, and my family was never bored. We had so many activities to choose from, paddle boating, paddle boards, kayaks, swimming, fishing, swinging on the deck and more. At night we would start a fire in the gas fire pit, make smore's, have a pool competition, then finish off the night in the hot tub- still in view of the water. I would recommend this property to any family wanting to get away from the chaos of real life, and just relax. ABSOLUTELY LOVELY.

Perfect for large family get-together!

We just completed a wonderful five day stay at this really beautiful, really well furnished home on Great Sacandaga Lake. Ahne was a really great host; I actually can’t imagine anyone doing a better job as a host, and she is a great communicator. The house is beautiful, well appointed, and perfectly situated right on the water with its own dock, a small gravel beach, and a variety of canoes, kayaks, SUP, paddle boat, etc. Also, the house is really well stocked, so you don’t need to bring cooking oil, spices, laundry detergent, you name it. Highly recommend!

Centrally located between Canada, Boston, NYC, Syracuse. Close to Saratoga Springs & Albany.

What makes this property unique

Summer can't be beat on- and around this lake! There's so much to do and if you're lucky, you might even spot our resident bald eagles. With several marinas located within 1 mile of my property, you have plenty options as it concerns boat rentals and lake-access gas stations.
