Absolutely lovely property. It felt as if we were secluded, but it was a short 10 minute drive to Crecent City and the parks. It was perfect for a weekend getaway!
Cute cozy spot surrounded by trees. Very close to several trail heads, and a short drive to a grocery store in Crescent City. Easy check in instructions.
WOW!! This is the place to stay if you want to take in the peace and quiet of the forest yet be close by to the activities this area has to offer. Enjoy coffee on the front porch in the morning before heading out to the sites - hiking and golfing nearby. The bed is extremely comfy and the extra blankets were appreciated.
The cabin was very clean and nice. We enjoyed our visit. It was a little hard to find but that was probably because it was dark when we got there. Since it did not have a TV it would have been nice to have a deck of cards or some board games. Maybe you could have the TVs installed with DVD players since you are waiting for cable to make it into the property. The bed was very comfortable but it was super high and hard to get into. It would have been nice to have a mirror either in the living area or the bedroom so someone could be getting ready with hair etc while another person was in the bathroom. All and All this place was GREAT. We will be back again!
If you are like us and want to cook your meals, this is not the place for you. It was really the only drawback for us. Other than that, It was a great location near a lot of hiking. Definitely a quiet location. You really felt you were among the redwoods.
I was so pleased with my stay here. The cabin was set in a beautiful space with privacy. Easy to find but felt instantly like a respite from the world. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals. This was also the cleanest rental I have ever been in, and I travel all over the world for both work and pleasure. We stayed at a few other higher end hotels on this trip but the cabin was by far the favorite and most comfortable for much less than the other locations we visited. I wish I had planned our trip to stay here for more than a single night and I cannot wait to return for a future stay.
Cancelled without notice after being booked for months!
I booked this cabin months ago. Three days before our travels I checked on the booking and we had been canceled without any notice! Thankfully I realized this before we left for our vacation. I had to scramble and find another rental. They really put us in a bind! Save yourself trouble and rent another property. Very unprofessional behavior.
Just a couple of suggestions... it was challenging to make a simple pasta dinner as there wasn't a colander and no oven mitts that I could find. Not very many dishes, including no wine glasses that I could find. The bathroom door unlatches and opens from the draft of the front door being opened.
I couldn’t believe how cute this was!! It’s nestled in giant canopy of trees with a sea of ferns out every window. I enjoyed my coffee from the front porch every morning and listened to the bird as they sang their morning songs. It’s so modern and clean and fresh with lovingly detailed amenities. Everything is as neat as a pin. The hot water and shower pressure felt amazing after a long day of hiking. The bed is more comfortable than my own at home. Close to town and convenient to so many great trails. I wish it was available for every night of our stay.
This cabin was perfect for our Redwood adventures. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was immaculately clean. The shower was great. We didn't get to meet the owner to tell him how much we enjoyed our stay. I hope we get a chance to come back.
Place reeks of charm in a beautiful setting. The immediate private environment is lush. General location is near the world’s oldest and largest trees. A special place.
Such a beautiful place! It’s quiet, clean and you’re surrounded by nature! You wake up with a huge window that out looks the woods. The property was very clean, and we felt safe the entire time. James (the host) was nice and very quick to respond to any questions that we had and was always very polite! We would definitely stay here again if we go back to the area! I wish we could have stayed longer. The only downfall is, there is no tv so if you wanted to relax and hang out you would have to do it on your phone or tablet. This was not a problem with us since we got in so late and just wanted to get away from everything!
