About this property

Lake Champlain Shoreline Cottage - 4906 Maquam Shore, Town of St. Albans.

We are now booking for the 2026 season (May 15 to October 17)! We accept weekly to monthly rentals. Monthly rentals receive a 5% discount. We have a fabulous lakefront cottage with beautiful western (sunset) views on the sought-after Lake Champlain shoreline. This cottage has great views of North Hero, Butlers Island, Woods Island, Grand Isle and the Adirondacks. With 100 feet of lake frontage, you have plenty of exposure to the lake and a true waterfront feeling. A natural cedar fence runs the full length of the property and offers great privacy. A secluded 20x10 deck overlooks the lake and a spacious yard. This leads to a staircase and private beach with one of the cleanest shorelines in the area. Two full bedrooms, a full bath, and a third laundry/utility room all with City water. All this and still 10 minutes from St. Albans City and less than 45 minutes from Burlington, and under 1 hour from Montreal. We have a 7-night minimum rental period. St. Albans City Taylor Park - Movie Nights - last Friday of the month in May, June, July and August.
St. Albans Bay Farmer's Market on Thursday evenings including a variety of great music for your entertainment.
St. Albans Bay - Bay Day, the Great Race and Triathlon on July 4th with live music, food and fireworks at dusk.
St. Albans Bay Friday Night Live at the Lake, July 17th at 6 PM. Jamie Lee Thurston returns.
St. Albans City - North Main Street - July 18th? - The annual Klassic Car Show with many vehicles lining Main Street and Taylor Park.

St. Albans Bay Renaissance Fest - September 12th 2-5 PM; vendors, chili comp and music.

Great Location -- Would Stay Again

The property is exactly as advertised. The lake bottom is rocky, but the water is very clear. Tevas or swim shoes solve the problem. Great paddleboarding and swimming. I stayed ten days but could have easily stayed longer. One suggestion: the living room furniture could be replaced with something more comfortable -- with relaxation in mind (sectional or recliner -- anything confy). All in all, great stay, great lake, great sunsets!

Cottage was clean and well stocked. Owner who lives next door is really nice and accommodating. Cottage could use some updating. They have only owed for two years so maybe in time. Stairs lead down to a nice little beach with perfect sunsets.

Accurate description of property..although you do need some kind of swim shoes because of the rocky beach/lake bottom. The staircase to the lake is steep and the railing on both sides helps. The owner is very responsive and answered our calls.

Charming and relaxing lakefront property

We rented this property for a week to simply relax and decompress bye the lake. It was everything we expected. It’s a small camp located on lake Champlain with a nice little yard and a great beach. The property is extremely clean and has everything you need including pots, pans, plates etc etc. it has a great little deck to sit on and watch the sunrise and set. The beach was great to just sit and relax or catch some rays. The owner was quick to answer any questions and resolve any issues we had. Overall I was very satisfied with our stay and would certainly come again and recommend to friends.

The camp is very clean and linens are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer. The setting is beautiful! Town is nearby and there are fresh vegetable stands close to the camp. We had a great time!
