It's a great, relaxing location to take a swim or launch on a kayak site seeing cruise along the beautiful shoreline.

There are two public boat launches nearby (West Swanton Boat Access .2 miles and Tabor Point Boat Ramp 4.2 miles).
In addition, the house is just steps from Hog Island Market where fishing equipment, bait, fishing license, ice, beer, wine, and groceries are all available.
Campbell's Bay Campground (~5mi) is also close by for Pontoon, Motor Boat, or Canoe rentals.
West Swanton Orchard (1mi) is a great stop for apples, soft ice cream and souvenirs.
Green Mountain Stables is directly across the road where visitors can watch the horses training or take riding lessons, and Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is also just one mile away.
The house is centrally located within the best Pike, Bass and Walleye fishing grounds on the lake!
For those who want a bit more adventure, the Canadian border is just 4 miles north. There is a nice small, waterfront town with several great restaurants called Venice en Quebec just across the border. Montreal is also only one hour north so bring your passports.

The house was perfect for my wife and I. Our stay was relaxing with short trips during the day and watching beautiful sunsets from the patio in the evening. Vermont has a wonderful vibe and we experienced it first hand while staying at bluff house.
In Vermont and being so close to Canada was a plus Also close to fishing on lake Property well kept and modern Neighbors quite close on 1 side but no prob during our stay
We loved staying in this cozy little lake house. It was perfect for my husband and I. It was so nice watching the sun rise and set over the lake. It was very peaceful there and we always got a good nights sleep. We packed a lot into 3 days. Great communication with host. Looking forward to when we can get back to Vermont.
This was one of the more comfortable stays that I've experienced in a vacation rental.Josie was an accommodating and friendly host. There are a lot of thoughtful touches to this place such as lamps with warm lighting in the living room that add a cozy touch after you turn off the ceiling lights. The sunsets and sunrises are really beautiful. The location is near a friendly store. I recommend this home for anytime of year.
I had a great time visiting the northern Lake Champlain area. This home was perfect for my trip. The back deck sunset views are spectacular. The home is well equiped and very comfortable. I highly recommend this property.
The home, neighbors, and people of Vermont were nothing short of welcoming. Josie was a treat to work with. I highly recommend staying here when visiting the area.
Great spot right on the water include kayaks and canoe's for the family. Location is great for trips into Canada including Montreal and Parc Safari, also close to attractions like Burlington and Ausable Chasm. Plenty of places to eat in nearby St Albans. Perfect place for a family trip and host was excellent. Hopefully return someday!
The house was clean and comfortable- photos are very accurate. It's a quiet location, though easy to get to anywhere you'd like to visit. The highlight is the view and sound of the lake which is amazing.
This is our second time staying here and absolutely loved it just as much as the first. We took our kids this trip and the loft on top was perfect for them. Everything about the place was beautiful and well taken care of. Josie is also very quick to respond to messages. Will definitely be staying here again next visit!
Very clean with great attention to detail. Good location to hiking, biking and maple creeme’s. We also enjoyed the kayaks provided. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
It was a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed kayaking, biking and hiking the nearby wildlife park. Josie thought of everything and we really enjoyed a quite and peaceful long weekend. I would recommend it for a couple but it’s a pretty small place for kids
The location is quiet with beautiful views and sunsets. Great swimming and nice to have the kayaks too. House is very nice, clean and with everything you need. Josie was very easy to work with and contact when needed. Highly recommend!
This place is incredible. We are so grateful to Josie for providing such an amazing place. The best views, and so relaxing with all the creature comforts. We will definitely stay longer next time. Thank you for your hospitality. ~ Dan & Michelle
This home is something special. I needed a place to relax and recenter, while visiting the area to do some fishing. I was very pleased with the quality of the accommodations. I visit the area a couple times each year and look forward to booking this property in the future.
