Awesome Property

This is an awesome property and very pet friendly. We arrived to a poor dog injured hiding on the property and contacted the agency. Ther county dog officer came immediately and picked up the injured pooch. The beach and neighbors are wonderful. The property is quite private and very quiet. Would definitely stay again!!

Great location just far enough away, yet close enough to amenities.

The beach of the bay is right at your doorstep, & the location to three towns is all you need.

Peaceful bliss.

Wonderful location for a peaceful relaxing getaway. Located on the beach, great for the dogs to walk the sand bars during low tide. Seashells, sea birds and driftwood galore. Very nature friendly. Surrounded by state parks for nature hiking, short trip to town for some shopping and to St George island. The residents of Carrabelle are some of the friendliest people that I have met. I hate to give my secret away but I plan on returning for a third time next year.

Great house, okay beach

Great little house with a view just a few steps from the beautiful white sand, but the ocean water left quite a bit to be desired. The water was unseasonably warm and very sea-weedy, with very few/small waves, almost felt like man made lake water. But the house itself was perfect!

Much needed vacation

My family and I hadn't traveled since Covid and we decided we needed a break. Rather than look at hotels and condos, we decided to look for houses that had a beach right in the backyard to avoid crowds. We stumbled upon this one and it had our eye through the entire search. The booking process along with all the communication from the company thereafter was exceptional. The house was exactly as described and the beach was amazing. It was such a good vacation. Would highly recommend!!

Super disappointing

Not sure where to start, if you looking to hangout and fishing you ll be good, my goal was to use beach as much as can swim and etc, I send message to host few weeks prior as I was reading some bad reviews that you can not swim and I was told “yes you can depends on tide” that wasn’t the case regardless of tide the water has so much grass inside its imposible to swim or relax or do anything, if I knew that on time I would have cancel that trip because whole purpose of booking this beach front was that we can use it, now if you have pets highly recommend but also be careful bear visited us few times, also water inside like sink and shower smells horrible so be prepared to have your own water to cook and etc. Someone also commented that pictures are deceiving and they were right. Definitely won’t be booking again.

Carrabelle getaway 2023

The property was exactly as listed. Communication with the owner was perfect with exact instructions for check in and check out. The house and property were clean upon arrival. Adequate towels and washcloths were provided with dishwasher pods, dish washing soap and garbage bags. We enjoyed the screened in porch and saw tons of marine life in the bay. We ate at The Fisherman’s Wife which was a 3 on a scale of 5. Picked up seafood from Millender and had a seafood cook which was really fresh fish and went back for more for trip home. Also St George Island is only a short distance if your looking for more of the tourist type atmosphere but we liked the less crowded beaches in Carrabelle. Will definitely go back and stay at this house. Had a great time and thanks to the owner for allowing us to stay.

Lovely location

The house it's and it's location were a very lovely vacation away from life. My only reservations were that the pier shown in pictures above is slightly misleading. The steps do not go down to the beach and there is a couple foot drop after the last step. There was a precariously placed cinder block and some rocks placed there as a step, however of my kids had been young or if I had any sort of mobility issue due to disability or age I would have been unable to step off the dock and on to the sand. There was also a very big sign in the refrigerator stating "if any pet hair is found in the furniture or need you well be charged an extra fee" which caused my family a good bit of anxiety because even if you don't let pets into furniture hair still gets on there. The location of the home was very lovely an overall we had a good trip.

Great house and beach on Sound

The furnishings in the house are basic but in great condition and very clean. You are able to wade out quite far from shore in the water which is calm (being it’s on the Sound) which was great for exploring and swimming with the Kids. There are some grass beds a bit of the way out but that did not bother us a bit ( water shoes were nice to have). For the fisherman, which I and my wife both are, the fishing was excellent. We caught more trout than we could count from shore or just off shore from our kayaks. We even saw a tarpon caught from a kayak in the same area. Multiple Dolphins seen and two Manatees sightings just off shore. At low tides, there is tons of shore to cover and lots of life. Crabs of all types, shells, sand dollars, starfish, etc. if your looking for waves, St George Island is about a 10 minute drive and you can get you fill there. In short, family and I had a fantastic time at “Shore to Please”. We will be back!

Beach not like the pictures

The beach in front of the property didn't look like the pictures on-line. It was covered in broken cinder blocks, bricks, 2 automobile tires, 4 rusty rod iron posts sticking out of the beach. The steps from the deck to the beach online look like a easy transition, but in reality it was about a 3 foot gap, they tried to fix the situation and used cinder blocks as steps. Which just made it worse because they were unstable and slippery. We did not swim at this location. The location of the house is beside the busy loud road. The water had a funny smell and tasted gross. The towels were stained and many of the dishes were dirty. The floor was clean of sand and the counters and furniture were clean. We did enjoy the screened in porch.

Quiet family getaway

The property was exactly as pictured aside from the boardwalk. The only thing different is there is now two boardwalks with only one leading to the beach. If you have difficulty taking a steep step up or down, you may have issues on that last step. My kids were entranced by the stingrays, dolphins, crabs, jellyfish and sea snails that they saw from our section of the beach. I loved that the other houses near us were also dog friendly because it made me more comfortable having my dog on the beach and not worrying if she was going to upset our neighbors because they are pet parents to. The water was super warm and you could walk out 100 yards and not get above your waist. I didn’t realize at first that this property is sound front instead of ocean front which suited us just fine because I did not have to worry about big waves or rip currents with my kids. I would highly recommend this area and location to anyone and definitely suggest going to the Red Pirate for a bite to eat. The house has everything you could possibly want, even beach toys and little chairs for the kids! I loved that linens were provided and we had a washing machine to do laundry. We were so fortunate to have neighbors with kids the same ages as ours, we all made friends and hung out on the beach daily. The area is so amazing that we have even considered moving. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful and beautiful place to stay, this place and beach is it!

Wonderful family trip

Our family of 5 stayed at Shore to Please this past week and had a terrific time! Walked the beach several times a day and depending on the tide, you could go farther and farther each time. Found so many sea creatures from different types of crabs, jellyfish and conch. We were amazed at how many conch shells there were daily. Seashell hunting is my favorite part of a beach vacation and was disappointed at first with the lack of them at this beach, but I now have a newfound love for oyster shells...they were everywhere and so pretty! We had the beach to ourselves the entire week, so peaceful. Definitely go visit Eastpoint, Appalachicola and St. George Island if you can. We actually went to the island on 3 different occasions we loved it so much. One day we traveled to Wakulla Springs to do the boat tour there and to Appalachicola for an air boat ride, both really fun. The house was perfect for us, plenty of towels and pots and pans for the week. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfy. The bunk bed room was warmer than the others so we went and got another fan for the kids, which we left for future visitors. The entire family had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave. Thank you Shore to Please for a great week.

Cozy Beach Getaway

Excellent communication on the rental rules and quick reservation process. The property was exactly as pictured and had just the right amount of amenities to make the stay comfortable (cookware, linens etc.) The property’s location was right on the beach on what felt like a small neighborhood albeit it’s directly off a local highway. It still felt secluded and private. Towns with activities, grocery stores, gas etc were no more than 15min from the home so if you needed to pick something up that you didn’t pack, it was never too far away. The beach had a very calm current and it was perfect for walks during low tide or just getting some relaxing time in the sand or warm gulf waters. This is a perfect spot for a small family vacation or a small group of friends to enjoy the beach away from the crowds of Panama City, Destin, and the like.

Beautiful serenity

Was looking for dog friendly beach for first time ocean visit with my dog. The beach cottage is the perfect overall set up and very dog friendly. The indoor and outdoor space laid out well. The beach felt secluded and undisturbed. Picking up seashells, finding small crabs and blue crabs in the water. The perfect paradise for a quiet relaxing retreat. I do have one suggestion for the property to alert travelers of the possible animal interactions at night while taking out the dog. The location is very close to the national forest. I plan on coming back next year. Such a pleasant surprise.
