About this property

We offer a part of our home that we affectionately call "The West Wing". Locking doors separate it from our living quarters and provide access to parking area and pool/hot tub. A covered porch and large windows provide beautiful views of the Indian Wells Valley, Sierra Nevadas, and Rademacher Hills. We have direct access to hiking & off road trails. This is an excellent base for area day trips or as a gateway to many nearby destinations. We're long time residents with vast knowledge of our area. We're new to VRBO but not without experience. Wonderful time at Craig and Robin's place in Ridgrecrest, CA

Craig and Robin are wonderful hosts and their guest house is exactly what we needed for our stay in Ridgecrest. They responded to all of our messages quickly and made our stay at their lovely guest house a wonderful experience! Everything was very clean and well done. We had access to a large washer and dryer as well as their patio, large pool and jacuzzi. If anyone is coming to Ridgecrest for work or to visit the area we highly recommend staying at Craig and Robin's place!

Great option for visiting Ridgecrest!

Very nice hosts, clean, comfortable accommodations. The location was great for us. The upgraded linens was a nice touch, thick thirsty towels and crisp cotton sheets. The kitchen was well stocked. We weren’t able to find time for the pool but it was there, clean and inviting.

in the desert!

Owners were great and hospitable. They gave a full list of all the “sites to see” and I hit almost all of them! WIFI top notch. Included Netfliz and Amazon. Mostly I was there to explore, with 4WD, the desert and all the adjacent BLM off highway vehicle trails. This place was centrally located, basically surrounded by BLM LAND. It was perfect for me. Thanks Robin and Craig!!

Desert Getaway

We loved staying here! The backyard pool and spa was just like a resort. We spent every morning swimming and every evening relaxing in the spa. The kitchenette was perfect for breakfast and fixing light meals. Having access to a washer and dryer was a plus, and we appreciated the comfortable bed. The hosts were very welcoming and easy to communicate with, making our stay an absolute pleasure. We hope to return soon.

My husband and I have deep roots in our desert community but also enjoy adventure elsewhere - almost anywhere in fact! We've led student tours abroad and hosted foreign students in our home. We particularly love to travel without reservations or constraints! Every day is a chance for something new and exciting, whether we're home or out and about. Favorites include history, cooking, rock n' roll, golf, socializing, travel, empty nesting, time with grand kids, and trying new things.

Why they chose this property

My husband was born and raised here; I'm a relative "new comer", having arrived 37 years ago. We love our desert home!! We want to share our local knowledge and help in planning nearby day trips, picnics, hiking, rafting, fishing, exploring or for your destinations beyond. We love people, travel, and different cultures. However, we are willing to stay out of your way as well.

What makes this property unique

In addition to a warm breakfast at our home, your stay also includes a 30% discount for lunch/dinner at our restaurant, Ephen Tacos. We specialize in artisan smoked meat entrees using fresh thinking and fresh ingredients. See our FB page for more information. Delivery is a distinct possibility as well, subject to day and time. Ephen Tacos is closed Sundays.

We have a second guest bedroom with a queen bed. This is not in the guest wing but is available. Contact us for information.
