Great host & Location

Loved my stay here. Very desolate and serene location. The only advice I could give to others, is make sure you have a car that you don’t mind driving on dirt roads with, as the location is off the beaten path.

Amazing Desert Stay!

We (2 adults, 2 kids) wanted to sleep under the desert stars for our first night of our roadtrip and this place delivered! The sky got so dark you could see the Milky Way and once the moon set, i’ve never seen so many stars in my life. Then we got to crawl right into bed! Mark and Chris were very communicative from beginning to end (and after when we forgot something in the cabin lol). If you get the opportunity, ask them about the property and their extensive experience as renters! We got to sleep with the door open and wake up to the cool, crisp morning air and a stunning sunrise over the mountains. It was an unparalleled experience, we’ll probably stay again if we travel out to Death Valley again - which was a convenient hour away!

I'm a Ridgecrest local, but spent years traveling around the country and parts of the world. I enjoy all sorts off outdoor activities and have many years experience as a guide

Why they chose this property

At the time, I was interested in a secluded area that I could live that was convenient to town, but also direct access to the open desert.

What makes this property unique

It's large, 480 acres, and surrounded by public land, making you one of the only people around for 20 square miles. It's quiet, being 2 miles from the highway, you’ll notice a lack of pervasive road noise. It's got 360° views of the desert and Sierra Nevada Mountains with Mt Whitney in the distance. The night sky is 2nd level of Dark Sky designation (based on dark sky map location) and stargazing is excellent. We're adjacent to thousands of miles of dirt roads on public lands, it's a UTV's and Dirtbiker's paradise.
