The spacious living room opens onto the patio and features a large window overlooking the gardens. There you can choose to dine inside on the comfortably cushioned dining chairs or sit by the wood-burning fireplace on a cool evening.

The shady tree-lined entrance to La Chartreuse du Maine is on the outskirts of the village of Cubjac, which is in the Dordogne region on the banks of the peaceful Auvezere River. You can easily walk to the village center for a drink at a local café or to do your shopping at the local bakery and general store. There is even a farmers’ market on Fridays with fresh local produce all year round, and hand-made regional crafts for sale in summer.
