Stayed for three nights with a couple lifelong friends. The cabin pictures and description are accurate. Excellent location away from Chattanooga, but near enough. Susan was a great host.
Very comfortable! Just what we needed, comfortable beds, comfortable sofas, and such a wonderful porch! Pizza oven was a special treat, nice to have the dish washer and hot tub were nice touches. Thank you for bringing us the icemaker as well!
The leaves were the main attraction. As the week went on the colors became more vibrant. The only time we saw anyone was when we ventured into Chattanooga. The house was well laid out with just enough amenities to feel at home. You could tell that it had been a home at one point because of the decorations. We thoroughly enjoyed our week.
The cabin was quite clean and the layout worked well for all of us. The beds were very comfortable, the hot tub was a great bonus, and the upstairs area was a perfect setup for our three kids. We would have liked more comfortable outdoor seating and maybe just a few more things stocked in the kitchen, but overall 5 stars.
Overall our family really enjoyed our stay and the variety of things the Chattanooga area had to offer. Some things we did included some time in Chatt (Coolidge Park, food, etc), pontooning the Tenn river, Rock City, various hikes including Snoopers Rock, Foster Falls, and a hike to the North Chick Blue Hole. Great family fun!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend trip to Chattanooga. The fireplace and hot tub made for nice relaxing evenings durning a cool fall.
If you decide to stay here be sure to bring toiletries. No shampoo/ conditioner or soap provided. Additionally no basic condiments available at the location.

We are so glad you all enjoyed your time at the cabin, Ryan! I would like to reach out and ask for a few more details about miss amenities. We provide coffee and condiments, firewood, trash bags, paper towels, dish washing dtg. Hand soap in the bathrooms, and all the linens.
We loved our stay at this cabin in the mountains! It was conveniently located near downtown Chattanooga and surrounded by hiking trails! The cabin is set back on the property, away from the road, so it felt very private. The cabin was spacious and comfortable for our family of four, including our two adult children. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to cook several meals during our stay. We enjoyed playing games around the kitchen table and reading in the living room! The porch swing was a favorite spot for some quiet time! The ‘game room’ was a nice additional spot for our kids to hang out. The host responded immediately when we had a question. We would love to go back!
This was a great home. There were enough pillows, blankets, and towels and all furniture was comfortable. Good kitchen space! The porch swing allowed for me to be outside while close (but not too close) to the kids and the hot tub was a super treat! Although the older stove was tricky at first, we got the hang of it. My son and daughter actually played together! They enjoyed the army men, outside play structures, and my son and husband had a competition on the tiki toss indoor game! The reading nook is so sweet to snuggle in although better sized for the kids, my husband also tried it out. It was nice to have Netflix but seldom did we use with so much to do. We could not figure out all the cars parked on the side of the mountain for hiking as no signs. Less than an hour drive is Rock City (which we adored!!) and other attractions. Chattanooga parking is easy to find (only $8 for a day) and we walked the Walnut Bridge to enjoy both sides. We found Rembrandt Coffee, a few different good burger restaurants near Broad Street, aquarium was a full day with imax (tho you can rush it, it’s not cheap), last let me say the Passage water steps provided hours of fun for all of us. The area AND the home are worth getting away from everything AND being close to a lot. Thank you Susan and family for sharing!
Note there is no longer a fuseball table and there is a couch where the piano sits in the photo. Also there is not a photo of the tree house, slide, and swing but my kids loved it!
The property is located on a rural road that sees very little traffic but is only a short drive to Chattanooga.
Very well equipped and in great condition. Pizza oven and hot tub were a big hit with the family.
Highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again.
I stayed here with my husband and 11 month old. It was perfect! We had such a great time. It was close enough to town but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. The owners were so quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay again!
This cabin was beautifully placed on top of the mountain. The inside is as gorgeous as the view, and they really thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Plenty of games and activities to keep the kids entertained. The ride to the top of the mountain takes about 15 minutes, so keep that in mind when planning.
We stayed for a long weekend. Lovely and charming. Fully stocked kitchen. Clean, cute, and comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed the fire pit, Winter-the friendly outdoor cat, the beautiful porch, and spending family time together. The WIFI worked well too. We would definitely stay here again!
This property is one of my favorites I have ever stayed at. I was traveling with my husband and our 2 year old and 7 month old. The house was clearly a passion project, with every small detail clearly thought out. The design was out of a magazine and the craftmanship, just stunning. Everything fit together so beautifully, but it still felt comfortable to stay there. They took every accommodation into consideration. My toddler loved "his room" and the toy closet. There was even a baby gate that worked out perfectly for our very mobile baby. It is far enough away, but still close enough to enjoy all the Chattanooga activities, but also feel like you are out on your own. I just cannot say enough positive things about this cottage. It was clean and very well stocked. If you like the country feel with beautiful sites, I highly recommend this cottage.
We loved the cabin. Great for a couple! I would come back for sure. Maybe think about some blinds or shades in the areas there are not any. Feels weird at night not having them covered. That’s the only con for us. Thanks for the great vacation y’all!
Outside was just what we needed. The outside trampoline, playground, zip line, etc was amazing for our 3 boys. Enjoyed the fire-pit and yard immensely. We never did find the pool table and ping pong table that were listed on the description.
We had a great time visiting Chattanooga. Our cabin was well equipped and very cute. Other than the trash and recycling not being emptied and the wrong entry code provided, we have no complaints. Both things were resolved quickly. Highly recommend!

Quiet place near Chattanooga
quiet; great for kids, perfect for a family of 4; near Chattanooga and all of the great things to do there, but far enough (about 20 min.) to get away from the city

Love this place!
Loved this beautiful cabin in the woods! They literally have everything there you could possibly need. It’s private(not a big group of cabins) and a short drive to downtown. We didn’t want to leave!

Amazing!!!
What a great relaxing time in such a beautiful location! The tiny touches made this place so cozy. I especially loved all the lamps and the fireplace. Cannot tell you how nice it was to drink hot tea watching the blazing fire and reading books I’d longed to get to. An amazing place that I highly recommend!

Good Spot for a few days, Close to Chattanooga, Reasonably Priced, Nice Get-Away for a Family of 4
My family has used HomeAway often - renting cabins in North Carolina, Georgia, etc. We were not disappointed. We needed a place for a few days (we stayed the other couple of days in Nashville). The Cabin served as a good spot for our family of 4 (two boys age 13 & 17). While we are used to being DEEP in the woods, the cabin was quiet enough for what we needed. Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedrooms, etc. all up to par. TV and WiFi worked without any problems (except for a crazy thunderstorm but that is to be expected). My youngest & I did Racoon Caverns which I would highly recommend the 3 or 4 hour tour. Awesome Caving - well worth it. We have rafted the Ocoee before but if this is your first time & are looking for some adventure - I'd suggest Racoon Caverns & White Water Rafting the Ocoee. Plenty of nice nature trails to hike - do a little research & you'll find some great trails pretty close by. The river trail just down the road offers some quick hiking to a decent waterfall & some great pictures. Again, if you are looking for a nice place that is resonably priced that can get you to Chattanooga pretty quick you will not go wrong with this cabin.

Quite Country Living
Beautiful home with amenities small children will love. Children Loved "Winter" the visiting cat, toys and play area. This was our second visit to this property and the stay in this different home was as good as the first. Perfectly placed outside of Chattanooga to visit all surrounding towns and attractions. We will return and recommend to friends and family.

Romantic couples get away❤️
This home surrounded by beautiful forest on top of the mountain was a very quiet romantic getaway for me and my wife. There are romantic hikes overlooking the waterfalls,And peaceful kayaks down the Sequatchie river Not far from the location at all you can swim in blue hole at Foster Falls. There is a fully equipped kitchen for any type of meal preparation that you would need. There are lots of movies for a romantic movie night snuggling on the couch but what we enjoy is the wraparound porch made perfect for stargazing in the evening. Downtown Chattanooga is just a short drive away with all the major amenities of any large city including spectacular places to go out for dinner. My wife and I love this home and absolutely look forward to staying again!

Best for Families with Kids
Wonderful location, nestled in the edge of the woods and everything our family could want! We took in all Downtown Chattanooga had to offer, just 20 minutes away. The kids loved our day at the Tennessee Aquarium and time at the Children's Museum. Coolidge Park was a very fun picnic day and we all enjoyed hiking at nearby Foster Falls and will come back in the summer next time to enjoy the swimming there.
But other days we just did not leave the cabin with its endless entertainment for the kids (treehouse, trampoline, swing, and even collecting eggs from the chickens nearby) as well as relaxation for all as we sat around the fire pit at nightfall, enjoying smores and watchiing an amazing view of the stars. The kids had their own room and movie/game room and toys. Many memories made this week!
