The cabin was gorgeous, super clean, and really peaceful. The location is fantastic since it’s near all the main attractions, and even though you’re nestled among the trees, the big city it’s just a few minutes away with amazing restaurants. Thanks everyone!!

We had a great stay. Enjoyed the seclusion and views but loved we were 5 min away from the convenience of groceries or places to eat.

The cabin was extremely clean and amenities were great. We stayed for the night on our drive down to Florida from Chicago so the hot tub was an amazing addition to our stay. Highly recommend and wish we stayed longer!

This place was adorable. So many little details that made it just perfect. The train runs close by, but it blends into the background aside from a few whistles in the evening. There are little hiking trails and the hot tubs are fantastic.. We would stay again in a great near

Thank you for your lovely review, Chrissy! We're glad you found Timberroot adorable and appreciated the little details. It's wonderful to hear that the nearby train added to the atmosphere rather than detracted from it. We are pleased you enjoyed the hiking trails and the hot tubs. We look forward to having you back for another great stay!
We loved staying here! The hot tub and basketball court kept my son (and me) happy when we weren't out exploring the surrounding city. This place is in a great location and makes it easy to get to places around Chattanooga. We will definitely be back again.

This place was great. Close to all the Chattanooga attractions. The cabin had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The only issue that I could see was they did not dust very well in certain areas.

We stayed 3 nights over fall break and had a wonderful time. There alwas plenty of room for my husband and i, our two daughters and our dog. We enjoyed walks, having our own private deck and hot tub and being 10min or pess from downtown chattanooga.

Lyndsay, It was a pleasure hosting you and your family and we are so glad you enjoyed spending fall break with us at Wauhatchie Woodlands. Our property is a great place for walking and enjoying nature and the hot tubs are very relaxing. We really appreciate your 5-star review and hope you'll come and see us again soon!
I have nothing negative to say about this cabin. It is small and cozy, so not a lot of space and individual privacy within your group; however, it was a very nice little cabin.
I would stay there again.

We had a great time. Only wish we could have stayed longer. It was amazing and not much more than a nice hotel room. Everything we needed was either there or way to get.
Such a cute little cabin! We stayed one night while passing through to the mountains. We visited Ruby Falls and ate at the cutest Diner called Bea's! The property was as described and was super cute! Check in was super easy. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area! My little boy age 11 loved the loft!

About the host
Hosted by Timberroot Rustic Retreats
I have loved world travels my entire life; though as father of 8 kids, our movements have been more limited of late. I am an entrepreneur and business owner, lover of history, plants, nature, my faith, philosophy, and my family. We love Chattanooga for too many reasons to list, but also cherish variety and the beauty so many places in the world have to offer.
As hosts, you will find us responsive and accommodating and eager to share the treasures of our town and learn the treasures of your own. We know the trails, many waterfalls, parks, restaurants, and attractions of Chattanooga quite well and are willing to be a resource for our guests, offering an intimate knowledge of the area.
As a traveler, on business I tend to work, read and rest if I can, and prefer to travel with associates or family when I can. As a vacationer, I am eager to share and celebrate the diversity of creation and humanity with my family and to give them an explorers heart, a warmth for difference, and a bit of zeal for travel too. I prefer National Parks to cities, but cities carry their own attraction. I prefer mountains to beaches, forests to fields, and local to corporate or suburban.
Why they chose this property
This was an old trailer park. We saw great potential for it, as a gem of a natural setting so incredibly close to the city. We offer a natural escape right on Lookout by the beautiful city of Chattanooga with unique and modern rustic comfort for the perfect mountain side stay.
