My mother's family are Scots/Irish and have been in the US since the early 1800's. My wife and I live in downtown Asheville and Air BnB a small studio apartment #DTAshevilleHiddenGem. My family owns a farm 30 minutes west of Asheville and have owned it since 1820's. We also Air BnB a large #AppalachianFarmhouse on the property. Always happy to share western North Carolina's history as well as give advice on things to do and places to go.

We bought this 2-room studio because it is the perfect short term get away to access all that down town Asheville has to offer. Literally in the heart of the city, you can walk to everything- location, location location. The studio is ~30 minutes to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Dupont State Park, Pisgah Forest. So whether you prefer the sights and smells of Asheville's downtown scene or the great outdoors, you can have it all at DTAshevilleHiddenGem.
