The host was very friendly. The little cottage was in a quiet location even though it was in walking distance of town. We slept very well. I would definitely stay here again.
Property was located in downtown Boonville with great access to food and drink and fun. We were in town to surprise my mother for her 70th birthday party and the property worked perfectly.

Enjoyed the location and the quiet setting of the cottage. It was perfect for a short stay in town and for short drive to the State Park and beautiful wineries.

Great little cute old cabin in a super convenient location
Had a great time with my bff and wanted a spot where we could walk to a few things. We went wine tasting one of the days and hike Hendy Woods one of the days. Some great food to walk to in town. Cabin has a cute little patio where you can hear the creek which would've been awesome to use if it weren't raining...we needed it so all good!
We come up every year for my husband and I to meet former classmates that he grew up with and enjoy the fair and rodeo. Great location very cuts place with your own yard and outside sitting area walkable to the fair and main street.
This is a pleasant little place. The pictures do not do it justice. Lovely pop patio, hidden location but walkable to the few businesses in Boonville. A great choice.
We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful, lovely cottage in the woods. Very close walk to Boonville restaurants coffee shops and stores, too. Heating worked great, back porch was lovely for sitting outside. Frig, microwave, coffee maker were convenient (no stove). No wifi was a surprise but we enjoyed being offline.
We had a nice stay- we walked from the cabin to the hotel for dinner and had a great time. We also walked over to the bakery in the morning for scones and empanadas. The creek runs the behind the house. There is no wifi or cable so it was a good opportunity to unplug and relax.
Creekside Cottage feels tucked away but it is conveniently only a minute from meals and shops on Rt 128 Boonville. I walked to get breakfast and coffee and was a short drive or walk from wineries and redwoods. Check-in was simple and caretaker Shane is elsewhere on the property for any needs. I didn’t need him for any problems, but it was nice to chat with Shane. The refrigerator and microwave enabled me to take some meals and snacks at the cottage. There’s a small market in town and the restaurants offer takeout. I felt so cozy in the cottage with morning dappled sun shining that it was hard to leave, but there is lots to do in the area. I hope to stay here again.
The place worked perfectly for our weekend of wine tasting, and our dinner in Mendocino.
Pros: The place was clean and well appointed with towels and even wash cloths.
Very quiet, except for the creek running behind the cottage which was great.
Has a TV with a DVD player.
There's a full size refrigerator and a microwave.
Cons: (and most of these are nit-picking.)
The shower is a bit on the small size and the lighting in the bathroom isn't the best.
The TV is a bit on the small size for watching while in bed, and there's no broadcast TV, only DVDs, of which they had a dozen or so on hand.
No stove/oven, which we knew beforehand.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay here, and we'd gladly stay here again!
Consider this a cozy basecamp rather than a destination in itself. The cottage is a comfortable place to rest and recharge for another day of adventure.
Short drive to a day of hiking nearby state parks: Hendy Woods, Navarro River, Montgomery Woods (near Ukiah), or along Hwy 1. Don't miss the wine tasting in Philo.
Don't want to dine out? Take away from restaurants or the counter at the back of the market within walking distance. Cottage has a small dining table with place settings, microwave, full-sized fridge, and a drip coffee machine (bring your own ground coffee, or whole beans and grinder).
This is VRBO so bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap. Clean & comfortable bed, arm chairs (indoors) and balcony chairs (outdoors) -- and large, fluffy bath towels.
Located off main street and behind the main house on the lot (also available for vacation rental), the cottage was a quiet retreat and good value.

The only blemish was a heavy disinfectant smell--almost nauseating. First day we left all windows open to get some relief--not all. Second day was better but still lingering. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place--just the perfect choice. Just air it out for the next guests
We could walk everywhere! It was such a cute, clean cottage. The owner and property manager were both friendly and available to answer questions, but we also had privacy. My sisters and I loved it!
