This property was part of an expansion of the Lynwood Neighborhood that I built in 2017. Originally part of a citrus grove owned by the Woodman and Lynn families, fourth-generation citrus growers in Yuma. While citrus farming still exists in Yuma today, it is not as widespread as it once was. As portions of the land were thoughtfully developed over time, neighborhoods like Lynnwood emerged, contributing to the growth the community.
Conveniently located just 2 miles from grocery stores and everyday essentials and only 5 miles from Downtown Yuma’s dining and entertainment, the home blends tranquility with accessibility. Los Algodones, Mexico is just 18 minutes away for affordable dental and eye care. Buttercup Sand Dunes are approximately 30 minutes away, and Glamis Sand Dunes about 45 minutes. Nearby golf courses make it easy to enjoy the outdoors, and day trips to San Diego or Phoenix are also within reach.
The property includes driveway parking for two vehicles, with additional curb parking available. For added peace of mind, exterior areas including the driveway and front entry are monitored by security cameras.
Please note that the garage is not accessible to guests, as it contains the owner’s personal belongings during certain months.
We welcome well-behaved dogs with prior approval and a $45 per dog fee. Please include the number of pets in your reservation.
Whether you’re visiting for work, golf, a winter escape, family time, or dental care in Algodones, our Yuma Desert Oasis is ready to welcome you.

About the host
Hosted by Katie W
I work in Agriculture and live in Colorado for their growing season and in Yuma for the growing season, which only allows me to be in yuma only 3 months out of the year, since I work on the front end while planting. I have a small soil amendment company and love working closing with the farmers to supply food to the US and other nations.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood used to be full or orange groves and I happen to know the family that farmed it. Overtime, citrus growing started to leave the Yuma Valley and the Woodman & Lynn families sold thousands of acres to develop the Lynnwood Neighborhood.
