Black Mountain Babbling Brook Bungalow

Stroll along the nature trail by the babbling brook, soak in the mountain views and enjoy the amenities found in the Village of Cheshire. A few minutes away is the charming town of Black Mountain, with its quaint shops, music scene, art galleries, hiking trails, pubs and numerous dining choices. Experience the exciting Asheville scene, the Biltmore Estate, numerous craft breweries and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Your dream vacation awaits you!

The Babbling Brook Bungalow was completed in August, 2017, and is adjacent to our new home and located above our garage. You will have your own entrance and parking space. The large space offers you a new queen bed with luxury bedding and a dresser, a twin sleeper couch in the sitting area and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table. A Keurig coffee maker and selection of teas, coffees and sparking water are provided for your convenience.

The bungalow is located in the Village of Cheshire. Guests can walk to the Cheshire Fitness Club for a workout or a swim and reserve a court at the Cheshire Racquet Club for a game of tennis. Across the road and just a short , but pretty walk, is the Cheshire Village Center with fine restaurants, a wine and coffee shop and a gourmet market.

We loved our stay here! Such a beautiful home and very comfortable. Everything was so clean and fresh and the home came with so many amenities: shampoo/conditioner/body wash, snacks, drinks in the fridge etc. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. We have stayed a couple of times before but this was our first stay since the Helene. The host are so helpful, the place is clean, simple and quiet and there's so much to do in the area. Can't wait to come back.

Doug and Jean are delightful hosts who have thought of everything to make their guests feel welcome to their beautiful carriage house/ studio. Walking distance to several dining spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or make your own meals in the well supplied kitchenette. Optional YMCA just steps away. Downtown Blacksburg just down the road. Outstanding and relaxing getaway!

This is our second time staying at Jean And Doug‘s. We stayed back in 2019. This time we came with our five-year-old daughter and our nine-year-old dog. We were all very comfortable. The apartment is very clean and has all the amenities one can think of on a vacation. We always feel very safe in this neighborhood and we enjoy walking our dog along the babbling brook. Jean And Doug‘s house is a prime location. Close to all the places we intended to visit in and around the area. And the town of Black Mountain is just so pleasant. We enjoyed catching up with Jean and Doug. As always, they were very friendly and hospitable. Communication was excellent. We encountered zero problems on this trip. We can’t wait to come back!
