About the host
Hosted by Tim Bumbarger
We are originally from Saint Petersburg FL and moved to the Mountains 16 years ago. Several years ago, we added a wonderful guest house/cabin for Friends and family. Afterwards we decided to share with others. The Cabin is unique and many of the trims are built from Oak and Beech that was present and repurposed during construction. Before cabin was built I would often go and sit near stream and build a fire while listening to the running water. I cleared and area to have a large surprise birthday party for my wife and then decided to design and build cabin for others to enjoy the peaceful waterway and life in Black Mountain.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is set in beautiful trees and a wandering stream. Cabin only a few minutes from downtown Black Mountain yet fills like set in forest.
What makes this property unique
There is wonderful large front porch overlooking stream with rocking chairs and table for coffee or cocktails. Listen to birds or get a peek a wildlife. Grill out your favorite foods. Enjoy lazy days in the mountains and local areas. The property is close to town yet feels like you are miles away. Many repurposed wood materials are incorporated into the cabin and came from the property itself.
